Vehicle Detail
For Sale is this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Concours Custom Station Wagon with the factory 4 barrel 350 engine and 350 automatic transmission. This has only been lightly customized as I prefer a mostly stock appearance but I couldnt resist doing something unique to the interior of this great classic wagon... I think it makes a statement without being too much. The seats were done by a professional and they are very tight with new springs up front and are VERY comfortable. Headliner and sun visors are intact. Original door panels are very nice, as you can see in the photos. This vehicle has been consistently driven, well maintained and mostly garage/carport kept over the years as can be quickly assertained by the fresh apperance of the straight body and minimal rust issues. It has been my personal daily driver for about 8 months and during that time I installed a new battery, the factory style rims and new white letter tires (they have seen about 1000 miles), the deluxe steering wheel, new ACC molded carpet, re-upolstered seats and SS emblems. The grille and headlight bezels are flawless originals. This is currently insured, titled in my name and the inspection is good till 8/11. The paint is a flat primer yellow to keep the body work intact until such time as paint was affordable. Since it looks good as is and the fact I live in the country and used it daily I never saw the need to get the final paint applied. This car has been on long trips and is capable of driving to your location. I trust the car to take a 500+ mile trip at any time as it is very reliable: rides and handles like a dream. It's no slouch in the power department either with the 275hp 350 engine and newer dual exausts. The engine does not smoke or use oil: I was told by the previous owner that the engine was rebuilt 20K ago and its easy to believe as good as it runs and sounds. Total mileage on the body is approx 120K. The 350 transmission also shifts flawlessly. It still has the stock AM radio with no damage done to the dash... it also has a factory clock, neither work tho, as factory clocks rarely work & the radio needs a speaker. It has working power steering, power brakes and discs on the front. The brakes work great also. Its got the heavy duty 12 bolt rear end, non-posi. The radiator has been gone thru and the entire system cools the engine well with no issues. The fuel system is perfect: good carb, no line leaks, nice gas tank, sending unit, etc. All the lights work, the horn works, wipers, the gas gauge works, the speedometer and other gauges do too. It has a rear power window that works by the switch on the dash or the key at the rear. The clever tail gate opens both down and to the side. This car has a complete factory air conditioning system but no belt... since I dont care for air (thats what vent windows are for) I never tried it fix it. The body of this wagon is really straight and their is no indication it was ever in an accident. The FULL frames on these cars tend to be solid and this one is no exception: it is completely rust free. The floors, front AND back, under the carpet needed no repairs when the carpet was installed. The compartment under the floor of the back does have some rust but its not falling apart and is much better than most you will find. The spare tire area, under the side compartment, is still quite intact with no damage. (A spare tire isnt shown but IS included) The front fenders are clean and original with no rust found. There is no rust in the doors, hood or tail gate. All the glass is clean and clear, there is no fog or cracks in the windshield. All the glass in the doors roll up and down great, including the roll open vent windows! The tail gate glass has new bushings and a good motor. The bumpers are straight, rust free and the chrome is quite bright but not perfect. All body chrome and moldings are well attached, clean and straight. The roof rack is really clean and complete! This is basicly a good looking, good driving car with more than enough power and alot of great options that is ready to drive RIGHT NOW with no repairs needed. It is also a head turner and a great conversation starter, everybody wants to talk about this car when you pick up the grocerys! You only need to bid, lay down the cash and apply your final vision. You can do that at your leisure while enjoying this fantastic ride! Email me for my phone number if you want to talk about her. I would like to get my investment back on this car, but I can assure you what I have invested in the car is no where near what it is worth, leaving you the opportunity for a genuine bargain. There is an extremely reasonable reserve, so please try and meet it. When attempting to meet the reserve bid often and consider this: 1) This vehicle would sell for about $1500- $2000 as a complete, rust-free, non running vehicle w/a title. 2) The matching factory 15X7 wheels, trim rings, center caps and tires are an easy $500 package deal: at WHOLESALE! 3) The new (less than 6mo old) custom interior, including the carpet is worth approx $1000. 4) Not brand new but nice dual exausts with no issues, cheap at: $250. 5) Pretty nice paint (the factory color was yellow), cheap at $500. 6) Brand new deluxe steering wheel and new emblems: wholesale cost is $200. 7) The rest you see is free with the purchase! There is a real chance to get a great deal by bidding on this fine, classic ride: I hope you will agree and make some honest bids. It costs a chunk of time and money to list a car on ebay so please, help a working man out and be a serious bidder. Thank you for looking! God Bless. Should you make the high bid and win this car an immediate payment of $250. must be sent by Paypal. Nobody without a paypal account can bid on this auction. This payment lets me know for certain you are serious and you will get my full attention. Full payment must be recieved in full no less than 7 days after the auctions end, that means if you (or your shipping company) wont be here to pick up the car in 7 days you need to drop a Money Order in the mail ASAP: I suggest overnight.
