You are bidding on a very rare and special vehicle. This car has an abundance of history surrounding its production and collectible value. Pages of historical documentation from professional researchers shed light on many interesting facts about this limo.Of only 19 Lehmann Peterson production cars made with a factory 2" raised roof, this is one of only 3 documented to have survived the test of time! The car is said to have been previously owned by a Rockefeller, but is undocumented. I am confident that the right buyer with the right resources could dissect the VIN on this vehicle and learn more regarding these topics, but the sources we learned from have been reliable so far. What makes this car so uniquely special is the design of its roof. As a Lehmann Peterson production vehicle, it is one of few made with a 2" raised roof. Also, it has an original remote mount deck lid release. This option was seldom seen among their production line during this year. Another rare option, is the extended Continental kit rear end addition. Adding beauty, and function, this kit was a rare addition to their production line, and is an original LP modification. This vehicle was no doubt, built for a powerful entity. While many of these modifications were standard equipment by the mid 70s, for this year it is considered extravagant. This vehicle drives well, and could use a tune up and thorough inspection of brakes and other routinely maintained systems before putting into service. This vehicle has been in storage since purchased in 2007, and was stored for an extended period prior to purchase. The Exterior:The exterior is in near flawless shape. The vinyl top is in good condition with no splits, tears, or cracks noticeable. Could use some conditioning to return to its full luster. The paint is a very dark blue, almost black, and is in good shape. The paint could use a solid buff and wax, but is not damaged, oxidized, peeling, or suffering from any rust formations. Tires are in okay shape, and will be inspected/replaced prior to shipment. Chrome trim is all in tact and in very good shape with no major dents. All doors and deck lids operate flawlessly. The hood latches smoothly and the engine compartment is free of excessive amounts of oil and dirt buildup, but could use a pressure wash for showing. The Interior:The interior is in near flawless shape, save for a tear in the front drivers bench between the driver and passenger seats. Visible in photos. The rear passenger compartment is in great shape, and is equipped with blackout windows and a stationary driver/passenger divider window. Rear seats are in great shape and show no signs of serious wear and tear. Refer to photos. Rear door panels could use some TLC, but are in good overall shape. Carpet is fairly clean.
