Vehicle Detail
I have a 1967 427 4 speed big block Corvette coupe up for auction. This is a L-71 435hp Tri-Power rare optioned car. AM/FM Radio, tinted windows, side pipes, heavy duty suspension, 3:55 gears, telescopic wheel, transitorized ignition (missing), and more...This car belongs to a friend who has two and needs only one. They purchased the car in 1978 and it has been off the road since 1981. I'm going to see if the build sheet is on the gas tank Friday. If it's there, I will post the picture. First the car. The fenders have been flared, the headlights were "glassed in", no motors or lights in the nose. Other than that, the body looks good, not cracked or beat up. There is no rust on the frame, it's solid. The interior is in great condition for its age. The leather seats, which have headrests (less than 8 percent of the cars that year had them), aren't ripped and there are a couple of minor cracks in the door panels. The carpeting looks good, but there are a couple of very small dents in the glove box door. There is a Sun tach mounted to the dash. The M-21 Muncie transmission is the correct original numbers matching one for the car. Now the engine. This is a freshly bored 1973 Hi-Performance chevy block, forged 427 GM crankshaft, New Brodix aluminum heads, New Lunati roller rockers, New roller lifters, new solid roller cam, new forged pistons, aluminum GM 4bbl intake, new timing chain, oil pump, new push rods. This engine is complete including a rebuilt 850cfm Holley carburetor, but is out of the car, on an engine stand. I cannot give the details on the exact pistons and compression ratio as the I cannot talk to the original builder. I can tell you he was a meticulous engine builder, and it has all quality parts in it. I will pull a head and the pan a serious inquirey only. Parts included, not pictured, are the drive shaft, short iron water pump, new Accel starter, headers that connect to the side pipes, pulleys, correct alternator, dual snorkel air cleaner, spare tire cover, a set of 4 15x8 ralley wheels with almost new tires and more. There's a nice set of Cragar mags on it now. I will show this car to anybody who'd like to make an appiontment to see it. I have no reason to believe this isn't an original big block car. It has the heavy springs in the front, sway bar in the rear, the half shafts have u-joint caps, heavy duty front sway bar, 0-80lb oil pressure gauge, 6,500 rpm gauge, 90 degree fuel pump line on the frame. I pulled the fuel tank, here's build sheet. Please feel free to ask any questions. I can be reached at 518 701-3696 or email me. Thanks for looking, Todd.
