1953 Mercury Monterey Sedan Flathead V8, automatic transmission. Starts smooth, runs & drives. Has new carb, 6 volt battery, cap, rotor and points. I would recommend replacing spark plugs and wires to complete tune-up. Just passed New Jersey State Inspection. Older restoration still in decent shape. Underbody very clean. Small rust hole in trunk on left side near body mount and lower drivers side front fender near door. VERY solid car. Needs some brake work. Brand new complete brake overhaul kit from Kanter in the trunk ready to be installed. Left front wheel hangs up slightly on brake application. It sat for a few years in the previous owners garage, so tires are dry rotted but hold air (actually rides nice). Brand new fender skirts in trunk, still in the box. Would not take much to make this a very nice vehicle. I have to many projects and baby on the way. My loss is your gain. Will drive to DAS Auto Shippers Hub in Linden, NJ for free if needed.
