FOR SALE IS MY 2005 NISSAN XTERRA OFFROAD 4X4 This has to be one of the fastest Off Road capable SUV's in production. 265 Horsepower 4.0 Liter v6. This is the same family of engines as what is put in the Nissan 370z and Infiniti G35. DRIVE TRAIN Mechanically, this car runs 100%. The engine is very powerful, the Clutch has less than 5k miles and the 6 speed manual transmission shifts very smoothly. The brakes (rotors and pads) are literally brand new with less than 200 miles. The 4X4 works perfectly and the rear locker engages with no issues. This truck is a monster in the snow. The majority of the miles are highway miles driving all over the northeast. I have averaged 21MPG on the highway on long trips. It has a K&N air intake and a DynoMax Cat back exhaust. This SUV really sounds great and is a lot of fun to drive. I have taken it off road twice in the past couple of years and it really was everything motor trend said it would be (motor trend truck of the year). The only reason I am selling it is that it is too nice to go offroading in. (bought the green Rubicon for that) It was just at Nissan for service where they performed the IPDM (main computer) replacement through a Nissan Recall. All major fluids were changed at the 60k service including the battery. Other than that it has always had synthetic engine oil changed every 3k miles. There is a rattle sometimes when accelerating which I think is just the K&N air filter getting loose. It has been freezing out lately so I haven't had a chance to look at it. EXTERIOR It has a shrockworks front winch bumper with integrated fog lights (never had a winch in it) and shrockworks tubular sidesteps. There are a couple of scratches on the body but nothing that won't buff out with a good detail. There are some scratches on the passenger front fender (pictured) and the rear bumper has a small dent in it. (bump in a parking lot - listed as accident but was a bump at 5 MPH) It has the trailer tow package (rated for 5000lbs) but needs a new trailer plug. It was ordered from the dealer ($35 part) but hasn't come in yet. I also ordered a new in bumper step for the driver's side because it cracked when I backed in to a snow pile. I upgraded the rear taillights to LED's because I felt the factory lights weren't bright enough. The LED's really make a huge difference. INTERIOR Could use a good cleaning. It has had Weathertech Floor mats since day one so the original floor mats are in great shape. The interior has average wear and tear, which would be expected in a 5-year-old vehicle. This is a great SUV for all needs. The interior is huge and can easily handle 5 adults with whatever gear you could possibly need. It is very powerful and fast while being economical. With the 4X4 and Locker it won't get stuck even in the deepest snow. Feel free to ask any questions via e-mail through Ebay.
