Vehicle Detail

I have for sale today what is left of a 1940 Ford hot rod from the fifties. When I got it the rear fenders were full of lead and beat all to pieces, it had no rear axle, motor or trans. The only good part left of the running gear was a good 4 inch dropped I beam front axle .It had a cable operated trunk lid and what was left of a set of rear nerf bars. As it sets today for sale I have installed a good wide five rear axle, gathered up a good set of front and rear fenders with a deluxe hood and some grill parts, two motors( a 51 and a 42 model your choice) and a three speed transmission from the 1940s. I also have a 40 standard hood if you would rather have it instead of the deluxe. Look at the pictures of the car and parts(no motor or trans. Pictures at this time) ,but are included with the car. and that is all you get. The body and frame is good .The rear tail piece below the trunk lid will need to be replaced or repaired. The floors not all that bad . The roof and drip rails are good. The vent in the top cowl is still leaded in and is good. The fire wall has been modified for a battery, but is good. Look at the rt. side of the car and you can see a little damage where the car was laid over on it's side. It will be a easy fix. The doors are useable ,but both will need some work. Thats about it. If you want a good solid body to start with at a reasonable price, this might be for you. I am selling it with a bill of sale, I will help you load it, and I will do my best to answer all your questions. The car is being sold as is, Don't bid if you don't want to buy it. I use a shipper that works hard to please and has always been fair to me if you want a shipper, but the shipping fees belong to you. Thanks for looking and have a happy new year. RichardOn Jan-04-11 at 07:37:26 PST, seller added the following information: I've added a better picture of the right side to show the damage .This is good metal . Any modern frame machine can pull this out with ease. I just want to show the better picture. Thanks Richard On Jan-04-11 at 10:36:25 PST, seller added the following information: I have a lot better deck lid that I will throw in with the buy it now price. On Jan-04-11 at 11:40:02 PST, seller added the following information: If someone does not want to use these axles I will switch them out with a set of just rollers and throw in some hinges ,braces, trunk lid supports and knock off $500. on the buy it now price.
