Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a beautiful black 1998 Volvo V70R. The V70R is a special edition Volvo Wagon; the fastest wagon built in its era. It is powered by a 240 hp 2.3 liter 5 cylinder turbo and has incredible power! This is not your typical wagon! Although being very powerful and fun, this car is very practical. It has a huge area to haul groceries or luggage or whatever you want to throw at it! It also gets very good gas mileage, usually averaging 27-28 mpg on the highway. It has a black exterior with an aggressive front spoiler and fog lights, 16 inch alloy wheels, and rear spoiler. The interior:Charcoal colored suede upholsteryWood grain dashBlue gauges (standard are just charcoal colored)Leather Steering wheelSeat HeatersTrip computer3 cd changer in dash (top cd does not work - jams)6 cd changer in backSurround Sound (awesome!)Side Impact AirbagsClimate ControlPower windows, mirrors, seatsMemory driver's seat I have owned this car for about 3 years and have had no trouble with it at all. It has been a wonderful car and I'm sad to see it go. I have maintained it well, changing oil between 3000-4000 miles, maintained brakes and tires, and fixing any repairs that needed to be done. The timing belt was replaced at 136,000 miles and has another 32,000 miles until it needs to be changed. For most of the time I owned the car, I was living in VA, so the car is rust free. I bought this car slightly damaged and did most of the work on it with the help of a friend of mine who is a professional in auto body work and works exclusively with Volvos. Nothing structural was damaged at all. We replaced the hood, front bumper cover, left front fender, and the rear bumper cover. Again, there was no structural damage. The paint is in very good shape with just a few dings. The only major issues with the exterior are a scrape above the left rear tire which we buffed out as best as we could (see pictures), and a crack in the windshield on the passenger's side (again see pictures). I removed the driveshaft shortly after I bought it mainly to increase fuel mileage, so the car is no longer AWD. I am including a replacement driveshaft, but it will still need to be installed.
