Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2006 VW Jetta TDI with the 1.9 Liter Turbo Diesel engine and the 5spd Manual Transmission. I am listing this car for my dad who moved to Florida. I will do my best to accurately describe the vehicle and will include a lot of pictures. It is a comfortable great looking car that gets 50MPG and is a lot of fun to drive. In the last ten months it has made round trips to Florida and Utah in addition to a dozen trips back and forth to Ohio. My dad put a lot of work in to the car before the cross country trip at around 150k miles which I will detail below. He is 60 years old, this car was never abused, just driven a lot. I took it on a 1000 mile road trip and averaged 48 MPG at 74 MPH - My dad tends to drive slower so I would imagine the MPG's go up if you stay close to 65. INTERIOR The interior color is gray. The interior has every option VW offered at the time. Heated Leather seats, power windows, power locks, power heated mirrors, cruise control, Stereo with CD player and XM radio, power sunroof, and over half a dozen airbags. This car seats 5 comfortably and has made a couple of thousand mile road trips with 4 adults and lots of gear. The interior has average wear and tear, the flaws that I can see are a couple of knobs are losing their coating (pictured) and the rear vents got hit by a set of snow skiis (also pictured) and it could use a new set of floor mats. The airbag light goes on and off sometimes, believed to be the wire under the drivers seat (first started when my dad brought the car through a drive thru vacuum & car wash) The trunk on this car is HUGE and the rear seat folds down which gives you a lot of storage space. We transported a 57"plasma TV in the rear seat. EXTERIOR The exterior color is charcoal. The paint has a great luster, it has a some surface scratches that will probably buff out with a good detail. It does have one scratch which i think is from a shopping cart (pictured) and a dent on the front fender (also pictured) There is a tiny chip in the windshield near the VIN Number (pictured) it hasn't gotten any bigger and has been there for a few years. It has the premium 16" wheels (they do have some curb rash) and the tires are almost new. It does have tow bar mounts connected under the front bumper in the event my dad wanted to tow it behind his RV (BlueBird Wanderlodge) MECHANICAL This car runs great, it is very peppy, handles like it is on rails, stops on a dime, and is very comfortable on long road trips. In the past 6k miles it has had all the wear/maintenance items replaced. New clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel, 4 new motor and transmission mounts, 4 new all season dunlop winter sport tires (awesome in the rain, snow, and great dry handling) and a new battery. It is ready to take those long road trips or do the daily commute. It starts on the coldest mornings and heat and AC work great. I have tried to accurately describe the vehicle. If there is anything I missed, please e-mail me through ebay and I will respond promptly.
