Vehicle Detail

****1972 BUICK SKYLARK CONVERTIBLE**** 400L HIGH COMP BUICK 350 ENGINE WITH 350 TURBO TRANS This car is a nice driver. It's in good condition but not a fully restored vehicle. We have driven it around town and to car shows without any problems. We purchased the car in 2001 from a body shop that was closing. Other than a new paint job (yellow with black stripes), it was an orignal 130,000 mile car. Since then, we've installed a new convertible top w/glass window, new interior, new tires, new brakes, new battery, fresh tune-up, a GS rally steering wheel and a set of 15 inch Buick GS Rally wheels. The rest of the car is still original. Drivetrain has 130,000 miles on it but she runs and drives nice. All glass is good, bumpers are ok but need rechroming. No real bad rust issues, just some surface rust. Frame, floor and trunk pans are pretty solid. I've described this car as honestly as I could. It's a real nice car, but remember it is not a perfect show piece. I really would like to keep the car, but due to work and financial issues, I am forced to sell it. Any questions, please ask before bidding! Car is sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed to implied $500.00 deposit by paypal due within 24 hours of auction end, balance in cash on p/u within ten days of auction end.On Dec-05-10 at 15:51:22 PST, seller added the following information: LISTING SHOULD READ 4 BBL, NOT 400LOn Dec-08-10 at 05:30:45 PST, seller added the following information: *****Paint is still nice for being 10 years old. It was clear coated when painted, but there is no peeling at all. The car has been garage kept since we've owned it. Paint does have a few chips here and there, normal spots on front of hood and fenders, door edges and some scratches where boot slides under trunk....but nothing drastic. There has been body work done, but exactly where is unknown, probably the usual spots. There are minimal cracks on each side of the rear wheel wells on the the front side (usual spot for body work). Like I said, it's not a perfect show piece but the paint is still very nice looking.******On Dec-24-10 at 19:12:45 PST, seller added the following information: Some additional info to help answer some questions I've received: MOTOR: no oil leaks, smokes a little on start up, which is probably valve guide seals. Small tick which is an exhaust leak, probably donut gasket at the Y pipe connection. TRANS: small pan gasket leak and rear seal leaks a little. All weather seals are original and should be replaceD. They are weather cracked and have normal wear and tear. Car has been garage kept and never driven in the rain. All windows work but rear windows need a little help going back up to stay on track. Underneath car is very solid. Floor pans, trunk pan and frame are all good. All lines look to be original and in good shape. Also has air shocks on the rear and new boot for top. Stereo radio is stock GM but doesn't seem to be the original ( the knobs are a little longer ) COWL TAG............ST72 44467FL1 201815 BDY TR135 03BA65 26 A PNT
