Selling my 1982 VW Pickup - Great little truck - 50+ miles per gallon ! Here is a list of the items that have either been relplaced new or rebuilt within the last 12 months...... Cylinders were honed & de-burred - new rings installed on pistons. Crank checked out fine so new rod & main bearings were relaced with new german standard bearings. New gaskets throughout. Brand new, not rebuilt, VW head with oem cam & valves. Rebuilt injection pump by licensed VW mechanic. New water pump, starter, fuel filter, muffler, tail pipe, & down pipe. New tires. Rebuilt alternator. New timing belt as wel as alternator & AC belts. New radiator. New fan relay & switch. New oil pressure switch. New horn, paint, & spray in colored bed liner. Replaced rear window with slider. Replaced stationary vent windows with desirable pop out rivited ones from a GTI. Also added the center guage console from GTI as well. Items left..... Replaced the horn with a new one but still does not work, could be in the steering column or a relay. AC does not work - probably the compressor. Fuel guage only works part of the time - think its a ground wire but haven't had time to research. Just within the past week, the blower motor for the heater is only working on high, think it's the switch. Any questions just ask. Strut towers are solid. Also, I forgot to mention that I also replaced the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing, fluid, & speedo gear in the tranny - All brand new German parts from Recycled rabbits........
