Selling 1957 Chevy 2 door hard top BelAir. Car has custom paint by Jerry's House of Colors from Lorain, OH of dark purple and pearl white with scallops out lined in lighter purple pin stripes. Does have some chips in paint. Interior is white vinyl trimmed in purple. Body modifications include hood louvered, bullets rounded off, door and trunk handles and locks removed and replaced with remote openers. Numerous chrome alterations including custom grille and '59 Cadillac tail lights. Motor is small block 409 CI., Edelbrock aluminum heads and Pro Flow fuel injection and Vortec Super charger ( at 7 lb of boost produces approximately 600 hp). Motor runs but believed to have bad piston. Transmission is 700 R-4 built with 2500 torque converter and ratchet shifter. Rear is original pumpkin style with 4:10 positraction. Car has been up dated with Ron Frances wiring, drop spindles and front and rear sway bars on suspension. Power disk and drum brakes, power steering with tilt wheel. Car looks so much better than pictures. Drives and rides very good and gets lots of attention. A real head turner. Door fenders and floor clean, rockers and quarters have fiberglass and some Bondo in them but nicely finished. I have owned the car for 12 years, shown and enjoyed it locally. Periodically have cruised up to Detroit for the Woodward and Down River Cruises. It's fun to get on the open highway and cruise or just tulle around town. With 600 hp it does very impressive burn outs!!! The over drive transmission and 4:10 gear is a nice combination. When you punch it the blower comes on right off the line. The electronic fuel injection makes it start easy and not stall at stop signs. I also love sitting in the passenger seat and letting my girl friend drive - it gets a lot of comments at the cruise.
