This is a 1970 242 real GTO, with a 400/400 turbo transmission. I recently drove this car about 300 miles with no issues, theres no rattling or odd noises. Very fast and has power in all gears, transmission shifts well. Rides smooth, can drive and turn the power steering with one finger. The front fiberglass nose, front spoiler and fiberglass rear bumper is in pretty good shape. It has the original interior. This is a 40 year old car and is not perfect. One headlight went out, the gas gauge dont work or window wipers, theres a small dent on the passenger front quarter. It is a Judge Tribute painted in the correct color of Carousel Red. The Judge name came from a comedy routine, "Here Comes the Judge", used repeatedly on the Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In TV show. Advertisements used slogans like "All rise for The Judge" and "The Judge can be bought." As originally conceived, the Judge was to be a low-cost GTO, stripped of some gimmicks to make it competitive with the Plymouth Road Runner. During its development, however, it was decided to make it the ultimate in street performance and image. The resulting package ended up being $332 more expensive than a standard GTO. The redesigned GTO ended up costing more than other years, resulting in younger people not being able to afford them anymore. The Judge was initially offered only in "Carousel Red," but late in the model year a variety of other colors became available. Your welcome to look at the car while the auction is taking place.
