He has joined the Air Force and is stationed in a cold, wet climate for next several years, and needs to buy a used car instead. We bought it from a broker who got it from original owner. This rare (only made two years, 86-87) Honda Rebel 450 is in as new condition as you could reasonably hope to find in the year 2010~! A garaged Southern California bike, with just 4,900 original miles, near-new condition German Metzler tires, new top quality battery, brand-new leather saddlebags on custom mounts with safety turn signals, and custom front crashbars. Saddlebag mounts are suitable for hard bags, too. Otherwise bike is stock and original. Starts, runs, steers,brakes, lights, etc. all work properly. An absolute jewel of a mid-size classic cruiser. Again, not the common 250cc but the rare 450cc model. Save on gas and insurance costs compared to bigger bikes. It is still very highway-worthy and I would not hesitate to ride it across the country ( I once rode a Honda 400 down the old Alaskan Highway through Canada and all the way to San Diego!). A few small scratches and dings in the Candy Apple Red paint here and there, some hazing on the chrome that could be polished out. Does not leak oil. Clean and tight. Ready to ride, clear clean Cal. title, presently listed with the DMV as Planned Non-Operative status (PNO). Recent oil change and tune up done at the best old-school Honda shop here. Battery is kept trickle charged. You are responsible for all shipping or pickup arrangement, costs and liability, as well as any and all DMV costs. To end PNO status and register bike will cost you approx. $80 to bring current, plus title transfer fee(s) and state sales tax due at DMV when transferring ownership.
