As you can see in the pictures it is fairly complete. The frame and engine numbers match, and the engine turns over nicely. As you can see in the pictures the fenders and tank are in nice condition, with only one minor ding I noticed on the front of the front fender that can be fixed fairly easily. The inside of the tank is very clean still has the factory red primer that is shown in the pictures. The motorcycle is missing the following parts that I noticed the air cleaner, front head lamp lens, and the rear tail lamp lens. Also the gauge glass is broken as shown. The frame is very solid and strait along with the front forks. There is some light surface rust on some areas of the motorcycle but the pictures show that in more detail. A good thing about these old BMWs There are a lot more of aluminum parts, then chrome parts, such as the shock housings , the rimes and more, that will clean up very nicely. There is 13800 original miles on this Motorcycle. Overall the motorcycle is in decent shape for being 49 years old. Only 3,530 of these R60/2 bikes were sold between 1960 and 1969. They are the second rarest model for that time period. This will be a great project that could be ready in time for spring, and I hope to see This Rare Vintage bike goes to a good home.
