For sale: 1975 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser with 4 speed manual transmission, 4x4, inline 6 cylinder engine, overall very nice condition with a recent paint job (exterior). The most important selling point is that this vehicle has 83,000 original miles. Considering that it is 35 years old, that is less than 3,000 miles a year! Since the FJ40 is a legend, she is barley broken in. Engine and transmission drive very well, engine runs cool, excellent oil pressure the whole time. Will drive at about 60-65 on the Interstate, just takes a little while to get up to speed. All the gauges work-engine temperature, oil pressure, amp gauge, fuel gauge, speedometer and odometer. Lights, wipers and heaters work well. No A/C. Brakes also are in perfect working order and were recently tuned. It always starts easily with an upgraded electric ignition by D.U.I. The chassis and undercarriage of the vehicle is clean and has been treated to prevent rust. The engine number is: 00F-0023680. This Land Cruiser has the 4.2 Liter 2F engine. This FJ started its life in Washington state and I have the original bill of sale. I purchased the vehicle a little over a year ago for $13,500.00 and live in North Carolina. I have a clean title from my home of record (I am in the military) and the FJ is for sale here at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. You are welcome to crawl all over it, go inside it, go underneath it, go on top of it; you will find it as I say it is. I love this vehicle and would love to keep it indefinitely, but the Army is moving me and my wife says we cannot move three vehicles. The FJ has been my garage queen and I generally only drive it once or twice a month. Windows go up and down well. The front floor pans are all original and are in very good condition with no rust. There is very little, very minor surface rust. This vehicle is not a show quality vehicle. It is ready to work for you and a fantastic rig to tinker on if you are inclined. Or simply to nothing and enjoy it on the weekend like I do. I know that I may not get what I paid but I will put it in storage before I take a big loss.
