I purchased this taurus new on 7/31/2002. I have driven it daily since. I have never had any major problem with it. The oil has been changed often. It has 2 new tires on the front from sams club. It has new spark plugs, plug wires and coil. The power steering pump has also been replaced. The rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders were replaced a couple years ago. The motor and transmission are original and have never had any problems. The car has been in multiple light collisions, the hood, front and rear bumpers, doors have some kind of damage on them. The car has never had any paint or body work done to it. Every time it was damaged I just cashed the insurance check, the car was paid for and I didnt ever have any repair work done. The title is clear in my name. No salvage title. The a/c works great. The cruise works. The cd player does not work. The interior is dirty and needs to be cleaned. It has a small oil leak at the oil pan, It also has a small coolant seap. Sometimes you can smell the coolant or oil. Could use rear tires, front rotors are warped and need to be turned. If you want a cheap dependable car and dont care what it looks like, this is the car for you. If you need a new car cheap this is not for you. Im buying a new car and need the money for it.
