This Item is being relisted due to a buyer that was incapable of payment.DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT BUY! This 1980 Porsche is my daily driver and has been very reliable since its rebirth last year. It is not perfect but is exceptionally straight, drives beautifully, trans is perfect, motor is very healthy and looks fantastic with only a small knick i the paint on the front bumper. The car is absolutely rust free with the exception of the battery box. All the panels fit properly and look beautiful. The car handles great with tight responsive steering and has ABSOLUTELY NO LEAKS. . . I picked it up a little over a year ago as a project and proceeded to spend a very large amount of money and amost every spare moment i could to get it back to its former glory. so lets start with whats been replaced The following have been replaced in the last year. - Timing belt - alternator - distributor - temp/volt/oil pressure guage - center console - wipers - brake pads - rotors - shoes - water pump - thermostat - gas guage The following has been replaced in the last six months - window switches - blinker housings - taillight housings - hood (old one had dings) - headlight relay - rear quarter window seals - dash bezel - shifter bushings - full exhaust - new boge shock inserts front - replaced rear shocks - distributor cap and rotor - a complete strip down and repaint in porsche color "grand prix white". - replacement 3 spoke porsche 911 style steering wheel - new porsche badge This car however does need some attention on the following items. - the starter switch is touchy (this item is easily found on ebay for 25-30 dollars) - the carpet is old and tired - the car needs outer door handles (also easily found on ebay) - the tachometer is not operational (ebay $25) - blinker switch is broken -could use a fuel injector cleaning as it could pull harder at higher revolutions. The tires are weeks old. The porsche just passed smog with flying colors and the reg is paid until June 2011. Winner is to pick up or pay shipping.
