Vehicle Detail

1987 Buick Grand National "4804 Mi. Museum Quality" Absolutely 1 of very best original GN'S left on the Planet" Exterior: Regal Black Interior: Black/Gray Serial Number: 1G4GJ1175HP420154 Mileage:4804 (original mileage) This car has the two things one can never buy in a vintage collector automobile...namely ORIGINALITY AND LOW MILEAGE. It either has one or both..or it doesn't...If it doesn't...you can't ever buy them. This is the nicest, lowest mileage and most paper documented 1987 Buick Grand National I have ever seen or driven!!! In my opinion, they just don't come any better than this! So how original is the 4804 Mile Buick Grand National? Answer! If you let the air our of any of the tires you can smell what our planet was like back in 1987!!! We sold a 1987 Buick GNX with 89 miles out of the Cars Of Dreams Museum approx. 3 years ago for almost $100,000. It had just under 100 miles...this car is really just as nice...except the undercarriage on this car has the normal road dirt from driving it almost 5000 miles.(as you would expect) Mechanically & Electronically every single switch, light and accessory works. This car is laser straight and has a Perfect Auto Check report! The Paint is so "Deep" it looks like you could put your hand inside the body of the car. We could not find a single ding or dent in this car...Maybe you can? Please come and inspect this car your self and bring your magnifying glasses and magnet. Don't wash this car...you might get it dirty! The seats and interior look like the car has under 100 miles. This car looks and drives like the car has been kept in a time capsule for the past 23 years. Under the hood...well.... it looks like it is 1987 and the car is sitting on the dealer's new car showroom. The trunk appears to have never been used to transport anything. The 4 Goodyear tires are all original and matching. The undercarriage is very, very clean, and looks like you would expect for a 23 year old car that has been driven almost 5000 miles. I drove this car for a few miles yesterday and on the way back to the Museum, I came to a red light. I started out very slowly and at approx. 2500 rpms in 1st gear, I depressed the pedal 1/2 way down and the car exploded with horsepower & torque....spinning both rear wheels and as it shifted into 2nd gear, both tires broke loose again and the car fishtailed as it shifted into 2nd gear and the rear wheels kept spinning in 2nd gear until I backed way off the throttle....this was at a 50% depression of the accelerator. It happen so quickly and in an instant that it really took me by suprise. I am not going to bore you with all of the facts and stats on a Buick Grand National. Every car collector knows this was the fastest 1/4 mile production car built in America in 1987. This Turbocharged V-6 could devour the Corvette in the 1/4 mile in 1987. It was the ultimate "Sleeper" of 1987 which was the last year of production of the Grand National cars. Of course 1987 is the one everyone wants! Very, very few have survived and exist in this condition with this low mileage. In 1998 I purchased for my Son who was only 16 at the time, I highly modified 1987 Buick GN with over $25,000 spent on the engine, suspension, tires & transmission. It had a variable boost control from inside the car and if so desired, you could crank up the boost to 28-30 pounds. If that wasn't enough..it had a two stage nitrous system! Everything was cool for a few months...I had cautioned my Son never to exceed 15 pounds of boost unless the car had the special 110-112 Octane race fuel in it. It had a variable boost control under the dash. He decided to show his friend how he could "launch" the car and lift the front end off the ground...just one problem...he was running Octane gas rated at 93. This is fine if your running a stock GN, but not one that put out almost 600hp at the rear wheels and was capable of ET's in the 1/4 mile in the low 10's/high 9's at 135-140mph. The last think my kid remembers was seeing the boost gauge pegged at 30lbs..that is when he burnt holes in two of the pistons (ran way too lean) and the engine came apart. YIKES!!!! Sounds like some of the things I did as a teenager. I replaced it with a new dead stock motor and it was several years before my Son had another performance car. The reason I am discussing this is because the majority of the GN's in 1987 have been modified and molested in some way or another. This car has been left just as the factory made it. STOCK! This is a Platinum investment, highly sought after exteremly rare collectable car...It can only continue to appreciate in value...just leave it alone and do not change or modify the car in any fashion. Contained in this auction is the documented history with copies of the ORIGINAL documents in the auction...All the ORIGINAL paperwork will come in a very nice presentation book. Here is the History! This car was a special factory ordered car by Mr. Daniel Zoller, the owner of Zoller Funeral Home located at 615 Landa in New Braunfels, Texas 78130. The order was written by Mr. M. L. "Milt" Ferguson, the owner and President of Milt Ferguson Motor Company, a Franchised Buick, Oldsmobile Pontiac, GMC truck dealership in New Braunfels, Texas. The purchase contract was wriiten on 9-4-1986 and has the following notations: "Car to be sold at list price Plus any dealer adds-plus tag-title -license and in place of a salesman name...it states it is a HOUSE deal. (no salesman) Obviously Mr. Zoller was a friend of Mr. Ferguson and personally handled the transaction. A receipt #23367 dated 9-8-86 shows a $500 check payment as well as a copy of a check from Zoeller Funeral Home dated September 8th, 1986, check number 18795 in the amount of $500. The car arrived in mid December of 1986 and the actual original purchase contract shows the car was delivered on December 17th, 1986 at a total paid purchase price of $19,100.95. Paint sealant, Ultra Fabric seal and window tint were purchased at the dealership. The balance of payment was indicated as being paid by a check for $18,600.95 from the New Braunfels National bank. AS previously stated,3 years ago I sold a 1987 Buick GNX from the Cars Of Dreams Museum in North Palm Beach, FL...where this car is on display and is pn Ebaymotors for auction. We would welcome your inspection at the Museum. The GNX we sold was a Canadian car with 89 miles. We sold it for just under $100,000. This car is just as nice...the only difference is this car has just over 4800 miles and the undercarriage has minor road surface dirt as you would expect with a car with almost 5000 miles and 23 years old. We have not and will not steam clean or detail the undercarriage. It is all original and we believe the car should remain that way. If you are the lucky winner of the auction, you can do that yourself or pay a couple of hundred dollars to have it steamed cleaned of the surface dirt...there is NO rust on this car! We are urging you to come in person to inspect and drive this car. You will not be disappointed! If we agree on a price and you buy the car, we will pay for all of your travel expenses....and the BONUS is you will get a tour of the world's finest American Classic Car Museum....Cars Of Dreams. The majority of hired inspectors are really not very knowledgeable. This has been my passion and hobby for 51 years! No one can inspect a car better than an interested buyer...after all it is your hard earned dollars. Recently the Cars Of Dreams Museum was featured on International TV...Here is a link to the Special on the Museum: Tail Fins and Chrome features: Cars of Dreams We constantly are changing the inventory from the museum and always have anywhere from 15-30 cars for sale at any one time. PLEASE write to me at luvdg@aol.com at and we will be happy tosend you the link to the Cars Of Dreams Museum in N. Palm Beach,FL. link. The owner keeps all his cars for 1- 3 years. Sometimes he will buy them just to drive them for a few days...and then sell them..then sells them (often at a very substantial loss) and replaces them with other spectacular cars or takes on several more projects. He has not driven this car, but will before it finds a new owner. All of his cars are started once a month and driven a couple of miles. Checked for any problems, even minor leaks, fixed if necessary and then put back in the Museum with a trickle charger kept on every single car. John has created the same thing with mega-super yachts....He enjoys Creating and Building something that has never been done before... His Company, Millennium Yachts built "The World is not enough" to ultimately attain the world speed record for a 141' Super yacht....70 knots with 22,000 horsepower. Here is a 8 minute U-Tube of John attempting to break the world's record for a 141' Luxury Motor Super Mega Yacht. In this attempt, the Yacht hit 65mph but a few month's later the record was broken...70knots ....approx. 80MPH. An absolutely incredible feat...if you take the time to watch the video with this 22,000 Horsepower Mega Luxury Yacht...it will give you an indication of how John applies his same love for vintage cars and had this one of kind 1958 Chevrolet Impala created! The World is Not Enough MEGA YACHT 8 min - Aug 2, 2009 www.youtube.com John also has built or refitted many other Super Yachts...just a few are Octopussy, Casino Royale, Moonraker and now the 171' Quantum Of Solace which is currently for sale----if interested, just give me a call or e-mail...all Yachts have been named after James Bond Movies. A new Millennium/Benetti , almost 200' to be called "Diamonds Are Forever" is currently under construction at Benetti in Italy and is scheduled for delivery in the Fall of 2011! This past October 17th we hosted an event to benefit the Florida Highway Patrol and then on November 7th our last charity event for 2010 to benefit the Palm Beach Sherrifs Society to raise money for underprivileged kids. The next charity event will be in March of 2011 to benefit Hospice of Palm Beach County. My Father passed away in Hospice in Palm Beach County at 104...this organization is wonderful! They treated my Father with the utmost of dignity and in my eyes are living angels. 100% out of every dollar goes to the charity! We have on premises a 10,000 sq. foot air-conditioned shop with two lifts. Please do not ask us to recommend anyone....we want you to select & hire your own inspector. There is no such thing as a PERFECT 23...almost 24 year year old car and we are NOT making that claim.
