Up for auction here is a 1991 Mercedes Benz 190 E with the preferred and more powerful 2.6 liter engine. This vehicle is in exceptional condition and is very clean inside and out. It starts quick and idles strong and when driving it performs well. The automatic transmission is smooth and acceleration is quick and confident. Overall, as a driving experience, this car feels very solid and 'together'. EXTERIOR: Free of any dings or dents and has never been involved in an accident. The only exception is on the front right quarter panel wheel well is slightly dented outward. See picture #5 and look at the top center of the wheel well. Almost not even worth mentioning. Paint is shiny and even from front to back. There is a light surface streak on part of the front right quarter panel going into the passenger door, not really a scratch, more like something that can be easily buffed out. Also, a small section of the moulding/fairing on that same door will occassionally pop out partially depending on how much the car "flexes" when driving. It pops back in very easily with your thumbs. Car has all NEW tires. All doors open and close easily and smoothly with a secure snap. The drivers side door lock is finicky, in order to lock or open door from the outside requires using the passenger side key. Just turn the key and it automatically opens or locks all four of the doors. All windows/glass are clear and free of cracks or chips. This vehicle is very classy and speaks of how well it was taken care of by the owner. INTERIOR: Inside this vehicle is where one feels really comfortable and secure. This comes from a non-smoking/no pet owner. It is in fantastic shape, especially the seats which look practically new. All functions inside the car are in working order with exception to the radio which I think just has an electrical short as it was just working before we attempted to disconnect the alarm and it stopped after we re-connected. The radio is a combination Radio/ Multi-tape player which was pretty fancy in the early 90's in that it has 6 slots for tapes, but per modern standards, it's likely that you will want to replace it anyway. The alarm automatically sets when door is locked and turns off when unlocked. The carpet is mostly very clean with exception to a few spots here and there and in the trunk. The light colored interior with the dark dashboard make for a very "open" yet warm feeling while seated inside, especially when the smooth operating sunroof is opened. ENGINE: 2.6 Liter 6 cylinder-Runs Great and looks great! No issues. The exhaust pipe has a small hole it which give the muffler a little "growl" when idling and accelerating. We just had the air conditioning fully serviced and the mechanic commented with some admiration on how clean the engine was. Radiator is also new.
