PORSCHE 944 For sale is my '86 944. It ran perfect until I gave it to a porsche mechanic to replace the transmission. It hasn't been run in about a year, but turns over perfectly. It may just need gas. I don't have time to mess with it. It has an automatic tranny that was removed. I have found trannys on craigslist for about $200. The seats and old tranny were removed at the mechanics shop I can go pick them up across town for an extra $50 if someone wants them for some reason. The seat weren't in good shape when removed. This is probably an easy fix, but I have too many kids and projects to spend time on it. Paint would look a lot better if it was waxed. The reserve is very, very low. Great for a sprint car for all you racers. I don't know anything about the history of the car, but I think the sun roof is leaking somewhere, because the carpet gets wet when it rains. The motor seem solid with no leaks, and as stated previously, it ran great before I took it to have the tranny fixed. Check out my 100% feedback for verification. I was going to do it when I got it inspected and on the road. I was told that the previous owner put a lot of money into this car after he said it got some water in it after high water on his street. I can find no indications of this. The lights work, windows work, etc... I don't think the radio is hooked up. The A/C worked fine last time it was started, but can't test it until it starts again.
