Very Rare Optioned Matching Number 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Coupe that has been stored for many years. I had planned on restoring it with my nephew but plans have changed. It has been sitting for years in Florida. Was owned previously by a Lady. I changed oil and filter, hooked a hose from gas can to fuel pump to bypass tank and it started right up. No smoke, noise etc. except for an exhaust leak from exhaust gasket at the head. After flushing old gas from tank, it is now running off tank with fresh Premium. Previous owner installed headers and exhaust. I do not have the exhaust manifolds. They removed the a/c box from firewall along with compressor , but it is with car in the trunk. It was hard to see but we read the Vin number on the block pad driver side below head. This is the engine it was born with. Turbo 400 trans The engine was the correct gold color also, very worn paint. Correct air cleaner with chrome center to meet up with 442 decal. Correct heads 394548 C heads best flowing big valve olds heads. Block Code 396026G Correct Qjet 7028251 Car was repainted years ago laquer. Correct color was a nice looking Silver Green Poly. Body by Fisher 05D 021642 910463 ST 68-34487 BF 02468 Body TR 940 B80 PP Paint Has Front and Rear Sway Bars with boxed lower Rear End Control Arms. 4 Piston Power Disc Front Brakes Rare Headrest Seats Factory A/C Tinted Glass Power Steering Lap Seat Belts with Shoulder Harness belts that hook on holders at headliner Power Driver Seat , Tilts back but just runs for forward , Cable??? Power Windows, They move but I did not roll them up and down due to not wanting to scratch glass. Rear Window defoger AM/FM radio , Not working -no power , I never looked at why. Nice console and shifter Neutral safety works Probably other options I don't notice Sunvisors look nice, Dash pad is cracked and ugly. Headliner has been removed. Nice bumpers for re-chrome The car runs yard drives and stops so it can be loaded. Brakes are real soft. Remember its been sitting for many years. The frame and floor pans look good. The trunk will need a pan. Trunk drain channel good Lower fenders rusted but they sell repair sections , pass has dents Lower Quarters and wheel lips are bondo from many years ago. They sell Goodmark replacements. Trunk lid is rusty on lip, no good. Hood has heavy surface rust and some holes in front middle but since these are so hard to find and so $$$$$$$ this hood could be fixed easy. Roof has heavy rust pits and some small holes but easy fix and install vinyl top again. This car has old laquer paint that has worn off due to sitting in the sun, That is why you see surface rust on the car. I have a good Florida Title signed and dated but no Buyer Name. If this is a problem for you I can title it to myself then sign it over to you. I will have to charge you $80.00 plus sales tax . this goes to the State not me. This is a rare High dollar car restored. I might be willing to deliver the car as far as Tennessee for a price paid up front. On Nov-10-10 at 19:02:52 PST, seller added the following information: I just found out I have to go out of town while auction is ending. My Family won't be able to answer any questions about the car not knowing cars. If you want it, or need to know something, don't wait until End.
