Vehicle Detail

Mustang SHELBY GT 350 4-speed Matching Numbers Let me start out by saying that out of the many top-dollar classics I’ve been blessed to own, this is by far the nicest yet. This is a 1965 Shelby Mustang Fastback GT 350 re-creation. Every step I took in having this car restored was with the greatest of care. I just recently had my grandfather fall deathly ill and I need to sell this asap so please absolutely no games. I don’t have the time to relist it!! I made sure that I took a picture of all the new parts because there’s no way I’m going to be able to list all of them, but I’ll try. I filled my living room up three times with so many parts I couldn’t see the carpet. Picture is of just one order. This Mustang restoration was just finished this week and has not seen even one day on the road. This superb paint job has never seen the sun! This means you can own a brand new GT! No scratches, no dings, nothing, I plan on keeping it wrapped in plastic until the new owner comes to pick it up. You will be picking this car up at American Autobody. This is a professional paint job. This is not just a three or four-thousand dollar paint job either. You are looking at a super high quality paint job, which has nearly 1000 hours in it. You would think I was crazy if I told you what it cost, but you have to do it right when dealing with such a rare car. There were just over two hundred C code mustangs ordered in 65 as a GT, and I wouldn’t dare use cheap paint, no stencils, no vinyl, no stickers. I only use the best paint supplies as well. No PPG on my rides—only DuPont, and a full gallon of clear, not just a few coats. Put it this way—you are looking at a paint job with some serious time invested. We love our painter, and he does an amazing job every time. Thanks Dennis! I have pics of the stang before I sent it to the shop so you can see how clean it was before I started the resto! This Mustang still has its original motor and purrs like a kitten. Fires right up first try. The only part of the drive train I upgraded was I got rid of the three-speed manual stock transmission and put in a far, far superior T-10 four-speed top loader transmission. Clutch is very smooth and strong to the foot, brakes are great and stop easy, and a quick ratio steering box makes for very easy turning. Suspension is all ready to go, bushings, shocks etc. and have pictures as well of that process. Sorry all the photos were taken in the dusty paint shop but Im sure you wont mind getting a car that looks better in person then in the pictures. The weather just wasn’t good enough to take it out side. I hope it doesn’t cost me to much by not waiting a couple days for the weather but any true mustang enthusiast will see the quality I’m sure! I’m not sure even where to start on listing all the parts that have restored this Mustang to its present condition. New lines, new gas tank, all the weather stripping including but not limited to roof rails, door seals, vent seals, trunk seal, joint window seal, cowl to hood seal, window pillar seals , vent to body seals, a bunch of rubber bumpers for hood , doors, trunk. Door handle, mirror, side marker lights and rear brake lights also all have new gaskets. New inner and outer handles. The lights and chrome housings are all new including brake light bezels , marker lights and bezels, side mirror, drop lights and bezels and gaskets obviously for all of it. The back of the marker fog lights are new. The exhaust is a beauty and at the back of mustang where it comes out through the rear valance has new chrome retainers. Gas tank is new, tranny is newer, mufflers new, new battery, fuel and filter, air filter and element , breathers, oil, plugs, gaskets, new electrical harnesses, new voltage regulator and new voltage resister so everything will charge as it should and wiring you don’t have to mess with, exhaust refinished, almost all chrome on car is brand new like front bumper, back bumper, windshield moldings all new, back window moldings new, handles, mirror, fisher plate step panel, window felts inside and out are new, new grill, light buckets, and rings and hardware, both fenders, inner fenders, front apron and back aprons, cross member , radiator support ,valve covers, monte carlo bar, lock brackets, door latch , hood latch, hood catch, door locks, ignition module, starter cylinoid , radiator, original torque boxes, new tires, front and rear valances are new, new lights, new interior such as carpet, doors and bucket seats are all refinished and still have their original metal tags under the seat from the factory. I also had the dash reshot beautiful satin black, antique saying apprises instead of amps. If there were parts that were original to the car and in good shape I restored them instead of replacing them to keep the car original as possible so don’t expect every nut and bolt to be changed and new, the dash pad for example. If you’re shopping for a 15 or 20 thousand dollar Mustang look elsewhere because there’s no way I will let it go that cheap. We have twice that in this resto. There’s only a couple of these in this condition for sale every year so grab this one while the price is right and the economy is down. Let’s see what else, the engine is the original motor and was rebuilt two years ago. A ton of new parts also under the hood but I think I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking. We aren’t looking to play any games so make sure and do any research needed before the end of auction because there will be no refunds and all sales are final. You are more than welcome to come down and spend hours going through it if you want I also have no problems meeting with any professionals so they can go through the car. This car is being sold as is where is and the title is signed and ready to go. I appraised the car and it is currently insured with Hagerty at 34,000. We have a 100% feedback score so please do not bid if you have a ebay score under five because I will reject the bid. A $1,000 dollar deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending and balance is to be paid within three business days. No matter how the car is paid for all funds must clear before car goes anywhere. Please try to have the car picked up in no more than two weeks after auction ends or a storage charge of 5 dollars a day may apply but a week or two is no problem. Hope you guys love this car because I want to find a good home where someone will appreciate it and take good care of it. Good luck with auction and have a great day.On Nov-04-10 at 17:36:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to lift the back seats for the pictures but they are in great shape. Also this is obveously a matching C code 289 V-8.
