I've owned the car since 2006 and have been running it on biodiesel in warm months and regular pump diesel in Winters. We no longer need this since my wife lost her job. Please feel free to contact me to view the car before bidding. The good: Gets over 40 mpg on the highway Automatic transmission with auto-stick Heated seats, heated mirrors Power locks, windows, mirrors AM/FM, CD, and Cassette Powered sunroof Runs great Installed a Frostheater. This is a plug in unit which preheats the coolant, so sub zero starts are never a problem, plus you have heat right away. The not so good: A few years back I spilled some vegetable oil on the back carpet. I removed, cleaned and reinstalled the back carpet. This is hardly noticable, but there is a cut (under the front seats) in the carpeting. There are some minor stains on the back seat (see picture). Minor dings (normal for it's age). The interior tempertaure contollers do not illuminate at night. Not a problem during the day, but you need to fumble with the controls at night. The hinge on the lid to the center console/armrest broke. I fixed it, but if you open the armrest, it is noticable. VW recommends that the timing belt be changed at 100,000 miles. This will cost over $600. Rear tires are worn (not bald, just worn).
