Vehicle Detail
1969 Mach 1. How fast is that car??? Everyone asks!!! Just the look of it sets it apart from the reality of most performance cars. “This one is a true Mach 1". The Mustang styling and performance, is one of the sweetest, most elegant performance cars of all times. This one comes complete with the original 351W, and FMX transmission. Black Jade in original color (which changes to black as you look at it), with the original glow in the dark decals. Everthing mechanical works great. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Marti report comes with the car. 1969 = (9) Build = (R ) Built at San Jose Body = (63C) Mustang Mach 1 Sportsroof Paint = (C5 )Black Jade Paint, Ford # 3197-A With blackout hood treatment. Trim = (3AA) Black Clarion Knit/Vinyl Mach 1 Hi-Back Bucket Seats Date = 17D April 17, 1969 DSO = (61) Dallas, Ordering District Axle = (6) 3.00 standard with 3.25 installed Trans = (X) FMX Cruise-O-Matic Transmission Options: Sport Deck Rear Seat, Power Front Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, AM Radio, Tinted Glass- Complete. Engine: ( M ) The 351W is an original 351- 4 barrel engine. Everything is original except for the Edlebrock intake manifold, and carberator, which were change to help the performance and fuel economy. The cam has been updated to give it that awesome sound that gets your testosterone pumping. Exhaust: Stock exhaust manifolds in complete good working order all the way to the back with the original mach 1 chrome tips. Transmission: The transmission is the original Ford fmx, which is in great working condition. New shift seal installed recently. Has the original shifter mechanism, and shift plates. Front Suspension: Factory power steering unit with factory power front disc brakes. Rear end: The rear-end is a 3.25 which works great as a daily driver, giving you the opportunity to be able to drive this one around town, or out for a trip. Body & Paint: Body is very straight and rust free. Trunk and floor pans are solid. No evidence of any collision damage. Fenders and hood are good. The hood is the original Mach 1 with the factory directional turn signals in the scoop. This car was repainted several years ago by an older mustang enthuisiast, and he did an excellent job. Two areas are showing some wear and tear. On one of the doors at the bottom edge the paint is starting to bubble, and a paint remix on the windshield wiper cover shows signs of the repaint. But overall this car is in great condition. Interior: Has all of the original mach 1 high lights. Dash is great, with the original A/C vents complete with the wood grain insets, and clock on the passenger side. The A/C unit is not installed at this time. I have the original system, or if you want I have a brand new aftermarket system complete, but it has not been installed yet? Seats are good and original, but the driver side is showing signs of use. On the outside edge the springs may be getting weak, and are starting to rub on the door panel, which has caused a small tear in the seat cover. Fold down rear seat good with all chrome in great shape. Headliner, and sun visors are good. It might need a new rubber around the door, but that is debatable? Mach 1 carpet inlay with black carpet. The original rim blow steering wheel still intact, but shows signs of use. Brakes: Power disc brakes with new rubber hoses. Everything is in good working condition. Wheels and Tires: The sport of the Magnum 500 wheels makes this thing stand out on its own. Has BF Goodrich raised white letter tires in great shape all the way around. Overall impression: This car is a tremendous amount of fun to drive and show. I have won several awards through out the years, and it still has the ability to bring home the excitement your looking for. This is absolutely one of the best original Mach 1’s a person could buy. If you are looking for a car that you can drive to shows, bring home some trophies, and make memories, this would be the one for you.
