Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my rare 1991 Volvo 780 Bertone coupe. I've used it as a daily driver and its been serviced by a professional Volvo mechanic all of its life. I am the third owner. I bought it about a year and a half ago from the original owner's nephew. Since then, this car has gotten a new headgasket, timing belt, battery, inner tie-rod, fuel pump, fuel filler hose (the one that is a common fail on this car), Bilstein HD shocks all the way around (replacing the blown nivomat self leveling with conventional uprated springs), urethane swaybar bushings, spark plugs, and fuel filter. Basically, you can drive this car daily as I did. I used it for the ten mile trip to work everyday without problems. When I bought this car I really wanted to maintain the luxury of the Bertones, while making it a fun car to drive. At this point, I'm starting to think of "expanding the family" (4 doors instead of 2) and so she's on ebay. I recently had someone slam on the brakes in front of me breaking a headlight, corner light, grill and denting the hood. I have replaced the headlight, grill, and corner light, but the hood remains a little dented as you can see in the pic. The main problems on this car are hood dented in wreck, heater core bypassed, srs light (bad contact reel on steering wheel), bulb fail light stays on, busted foglight, and other minor items. Front seats are a bit torn as the Italian leather didn't hold the stitches well, but the rear seats are virtually unset, so they've held together really well. The 1991 Bertone Coupe was the last year they made these cars. The '91 is different from the earlier ones as its simply called a "Coupe" instead of 780, got a rear swaybar that really made it handle well, had factory installed Turbo+ upping the power, and came with a locking rear differential. This car will GO!! And the Bilstein shocks help keep the tires planted around curves. This car is 1 of 500 for '91 and 1 of 5000 of the bertones. Quite a rare find. This particular one still has the original stainless accents that are installed on the lower part of the body. The car has no rust. If you didn't know, the 780 was made by Bertone for Volvo in Italy. I have really enjoyed driving this car and have made a few 4+ hour trips with no problems whatsoever. A/C blows cold, has Sony Xplod Cd-player as well as the factory cd-changer (not hooked up). I added the 960 plastic floormats to keepdirt and grime off the precious carpet (780 mats are impossible to find and the 960s fit almost perfect). Car is for sale locally, so auction may end if sold. I only accept certified check or postal money order as it will protect both of us. Good Luck.
