Vehicle Detail
This is a 1953 Dodge B4B 1/2 ton truck. It's mechanically very sound, and I have done a lot of work to it. It runs and drives. The exterior and interior still need some work. I started a frame off restoration, but with one young child and another in the works I have need of a more practical family car. My hope is that someone will buy this truck and finish it up to the beauty it deserves to be. The mileage quoted is the original on the truck. The engine has probably 10 or so miles after the rebuild. Here's what's been done: -The engine is a straight 6 that was rebuilt by Portland Engine Rebuilders -"3 on the tree"manual transmission was rebuilt. -Starter was rebuilt. -6 volt alternator from 5th Avenue Garage. -Petronix electronic ignition. -6 volt Carter fuel pump with adjustable fuel pressure regulator. -6 volt Electric cooling fan (pusher style). -Front wheel disk brakes (using Scarebird adapters). -Aftermarket Brake Master cylinder w/ Booster. -All new wheel cylinders and brake shoes. -New Bench upholstery. -Seat belts (2 shoulder and a middle lap). -New floor mat and interior panel kit (Roberts Motor Parts). -New tires (Les Schwabb). -New king pins. -New bed strips (stainless steel from Mar K). -Rebuilt 6 volt radio with I-pod jack. -Frame and axles all painted with Por-15. -Rear end from a 1992 Jeep Cherokee (Jeep brakes, and a 3.74 differential gear ratio). -Body was disassembled and sanded down to metal (paint job is a quick and easy one though). What still needs to be done: -Body work (there are some various small dings and dents, and a few holes that need patching. I tried to show them in the pictures) -Some odds and ends with the interior to take it from fine to great. -Parking brake doesn't work. And for anyone that's interested in returning this truck to stock for a true restoration, I still have all the parts that I've removed during my upgrades and will include those with the truck. I think that about covers it. As for shipping, I will be more than happy to help out as needed. Thank you for taking a looking and please feel free to ask any question you might have. The truck is for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end this auction early. Sold as is On Oct-29-10 at 12:14:29 PDT, seller added the following information:UPDATE I have lowered the reserve to $2050 (for some reason Ebay won't let me remove it entirely). So, highest bidder wins. Good luck! And thanks again for looking. On Oct-30-10 at 09:00:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Update- I've gotten some questions in regards to rust. So I've added some close up pictures to help you get a better idea of the body's condition (you'll have to excuse the rain, but I do live in Portland after all).
