Vehicle Detail
2003 Honda Interceptor, 22K Miles I took ownership of this bike from a gentleman out of Irving, TX a little over a year ago. It has been a perfect sport tourer for someone like me that was looking for a bike that could be both sporty yet relaxed for longer rides when needed. Unfortunately, I haven't found the time to ride it regularly anymore, and it doesn't deserve to be sitting in the corner of my garage with a dust cover on it. After I bought it, I had a new Bridgestone Battlax front tire and RK chain and sprokets installed at CycleZone here in Texarkana. I trust the guys there, and they usually have much better prices than the Honda dealership. I'm not one to customize my vehicles much as I tend to like the authenticity of the factory setup, but the previous owner did install a fender eliminator kit, a ZeroG windscreen, and had the rims polished to remove the black coating around the outside. I didn't much care either way about the fender eliminator, but I do like the polished rims, and have received many positive comments about them. The taller windscreen is also great for creating a nice slipstream at higher speeds. I also added a NEP throttle lock for longer rides. There is nothing wrong with this bike mechanically, but I would recommend the new buyer change the oil since it has been nearly 8 months since I last had it done. I probably haven't put 20 miles on it since then, but that stuff degrades with time. This bike has never been in any kind of accident, but there is some light scratching on the upper left fairing and a shallow dent on the left of the fuel tank (behind the scratched fairing) from a misstep by me while unloading the bike from a trailer. You've probably experienced the same thing before if you've every removed the straps from a trailered bike that has had its front suspension compressed. One side gets very heavy, very fast, as one handlebar is freed and the suspension begins to decompress. It was a very slow struggle, but gravity won. It's not something you'll notice in day-to-day riding, and the dent almost has to be felt to know it's there, but I wanted to mention it anyway. I have one key and the manual. Also available are a heavy duty rain cover, and a Cortech Tour Master magnetic tank bag. If you are looking for a good, reliable, fuel-injected sport tourer at a great price then you need not look any further. This bike functions perfectly in every way. It's rock solid and ready to go! Note: Very low reserve price.
