Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 2009 Toyota Tacoma SR5 V6 with 10,350 miles. It comes fully loaded. I had planned to keep it forever but I got married and we moved, so a bunch of stuff has to go. Once we start a family it will be time to get a minivan. Bought brand new with 3 miles on the odometer in July 2009 from Laurel Toyota. Has balance of manufacturer warranty (3 years/36,000 miles) and a Toyota extended warranty I purchased at the time for 10 years/100,000 miles. Toyota Laurel confirmed that the warranty will apply to original parts. (Obviously, they won't cover the upgraded aftermarket parts.) Only seen city and highway driving. Never off-roaded. Had planned to make it an off-road vehicle eventually but then got married etc etc. Tons of upgrades and features ONLY 10,350 MILES (approx). All city or highway SR5 V6 240+ hp 6 SPEED MANUAL Transmission. Maintained with Royal Purple Motor Oil. 3rd oil change was done less than 1,500 miles ago. (Yes I know Toyota only requires changes every 5,000 miles, but I'm a stickler for these things.) 33" Interco TrXus M/T tires, with approximately 9,000 miles on them. Also never offroaded. Bought brand new. Spare 5th Wheel+Tire included. XENON PROJECTOR STYLE HEADLIGHTS to replace dim factory headlights (Xenon low-beam, halogen high-beam) LIGHTFORCE XENON AUXILIARY LIGHTS (dash-mounted switch) PIONEER AVIC X710BT NAVIGATION. Bluetooth enabled and set up (see pics). Nav works great. CD\SD Card\Auxiliary inputs. I have hooked it up to my iPhone and played YouTube videos through it! VIPER 1/4 Mile Range remote alarm with shock sensor. The system I bought came with the remote start but I never enabled it. One remote is included, as are all the spare keys. ARB AIR LOCKERS FRONT & REAR with Large ARB Onboard Air Compressor. If you have are into 4WD vehicles, you know this is the ultimate traction upgrade. Both front and rear differentials can be locked, sending power to every single wheel. When the mega-blizzards hit DC this February, I was one of the few vehicles that could actually move. The lockers run about $900 each, BEFORE installation. TOYTEC 2.5" SUSPENSION LIFT Springs Front/Add-A-Leaf Rear with BIlstein shocks Front & Rear LIGHT RACING UPPER CONTROL ARMS, much beefier and much better articulation than the flimsy stock UCAs. ARB METAL FRONT BUMPER. This replaced the flimsy plastic stock front bumper. It is bolted to the frame and can take a winch if you want to install one. Also has room for additional foglights; I never installed them because I put the Lightforce Xenons on. This gets tons of looks and people often stop me to ask where I got it. The bumper runs $900+ new. 4.56 Nitro gears, Front & Rear All-pro Offroad front skid plate to protect everything up front Replaced fender flares with plugs and trimmed wheel well plastic since these areas are rust magnets. However, you can put fender flares back on if you want and replace the wheel well plastic. All a matter of personal preference. Now, to avoid any misunderstandings or confusion, I will be upfront about the issues. Back in October 2009, the passenger-side pickup bed panel was swiped by a truck trying to squeeze by me while I was waiting at a red light. Duh! He was found at-fault and ticketed by the cops. The damage was to the body, not the mechanicals or frame. Everything (taillight, right bed panel and associated stuff) was fixed with OEM Toyota parts and you can't tell the difference. The truck has a few paint scratches here and there and some dings and scratches on the tailgate. I have tried to take pictures of them as best as I could. These are almost all from the DC blizzard when the snow piled up about 6' high around the truck. We shoveled as much as we could (street was also being cleared at the same time) but getting it out of the drifts left a mark. The interior is clean except for some scratches and a bunch of scratches on the rear storage bin. These dings and scratches can be fixed/cleaned up but I will leave it to the next owner. Some folks don't care since it's a truck, while others want it perfect. Your call. Local pickup. Buyer arranges and pays for shipping if you are not within the area. I can drive within 50 miles of DC to drop it off. You are welcome to come see it if you live in the area. Serious bidders ONLY! No scams. Deposit due immediately with balance payable by CASHIERS CHECK ONLY. It will take a day for a cashier's check to clear, which makes no sense to me since a cashier's check is good as cash, but that's just how my bank is. Once funds have reached my account, I will happily sign over the title. I have free and clear title. Truck is available immediately. I will be driving it around town so actual mileage may be slightly higher than the 10,350 lifted. I will also be listing it locally so I reserve the right to cancel this listing. Priced for quick sale. On Oct-23-10 at 08:31:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the interest. I got similar questions from a number of folks, so posting up a few answers here for everyone to see. Good luck and happy bidding! 1. Yes, I have the stock plastic bumper. You will need some clips and associated stuff to put it back on. The ARB metal bumper is 300 lbs so taking it off is a 2-man job. You would have to remount the Lightforce Auxiliary Xenons since they are currently mounted to the ARB bumper. 2. I don't have the fender flares, but they are commonly available from aftermarket suppliers or dealers 3. The truck is approximately 6'6" high right now with the 33" tires (2.5" bigger than stock) and 2.5" suspension lift. It's actually a bit less than that but I'm being conservative. This is the height to the top of the cab. Like all Tacomas, the aerial is pretty tall but snaps back if bent and is detachable. 4. The yellow light in the dash is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor. I forgot to have the tire sensors recoded when I swapped in the aftermarket wheels and tires. I've ignored it since I take manual readings with a tire pressure gauge regularly. 5. The wheel well plastic that has been trimmed is about 2"-3" high, where the wheel arch meets the door. That area easily gets clogged with leaves, mud and road junk on most pickup trucks, trapping water inside that drain channel and creating a rust hazard, I trimmed it so the drain channel could open up and water could get out. Frankly, it wasn't something I or anyone else noticed, but as I stated in my original description this is a matter of personal preference. On Oct-23-10 at 14:49:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Answers to more questions. Also posted up for everyone's benefit. 1. Yes, it has the tow package. Reciever hitch and electric hookup are there, Never towed anything so never used. 2. Yes, the stock bumper I have includes the plastic cover AND the metal crash guard. Again, you'll need the clips and nut/bolts to reattach them if you remove the ARB metal bumper. 3. Yes, the ride is stiffer than stock. The Bilsteins are actually higher-end than those in the TRD Off-Road package and the Interco tires are heavy duty, so there is more highway noise and steering vibration than a stock Tacoma. That's pretty normal. I guess you could put the stock tires back on if you wanted to. I don't have the stock wheels+tires anymore. On Oct-23-10 at 19:06:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I have recieved a number of inquiries to see the vehicle in person. To accommodate everyone, I will be at the Giant Food/Hamburger Hamlet Parking Lot, 10400 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, Maryland 20814. Right near the intersection of Democracy Boulevard and Old Georgetown Road, near the I-270/I-495 intersection. You are welcome to stop by and ask questions. NO TEST DRIVES! A lot of folks can't drive stick shift very well and I don't need the gears mashed up. I will be happy to start it up, drive it myself in a circle or whatever and answer questions, but I can't risk someone joyriding the truck and damaging it. So please don't ask for a test drive or come looking for a joyride. I sold my Kawasaki on eBay a few years ago and people got irritated I wouldn't let them test drive it. Well, the guy who bought it promptly dropped it and scratched the fairings. Fortunately for me, he had already bought and paid for it. I will also NOT be completing the transaction outside eBay. The truck will ONLY be sold through this auction. Don't ask to transact outside eBay. This showing is merely for people to see the truck in person. I will be there at 3 PM and will stay till 330. I may stay till 4 if someone really needs to see it and can't make it before then. Thanks and happy bidding. On Oct-23-10 at 19:11:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Oops, forgot date. The showing will be tomorrow Sunday October 24 at 3:00 PM.On Oct-24-10 at 13:08:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I was about 15 minutes late. Sorry if I missed some of you. If you'd like to see it before the auction closes tomorrow, message me and I can meet you in the same parking lot tomorrow (Monday) AM. Thanks.
