Ask questions, come see item, have money in hand, have shipping quotes, read the entire ad and terms.....ALL BEFORE YOU BID! ****************NO RESERVE = High bidder wins at the end of this auction, so bid on it to buy it!!******************* Just acquired from a private seller....was a project vehicle for father/son but loss of job forced sale: Supposedly owned all by the same family since new. 1990 GMC Jimmy SLE 4-wheel drive with the fuel injected 5.7L-350 V8 engine, automatic transmission with selectable overdrive, power steering, brakes, windows and locks, power rear gate window, air conditioning, class III hitch, running boards, aluminum wheels, automatic hubs, high-low range, rear spare, chrome appearance package, tilt wheel, cruise, am-fm-cassette, high back bucket seats, rear bench seat, center console, tinted side windows, REMOVEABLE TOP with slider side windows, full carpeting, etc....... Tires are all Goodyear Wrangler radials with about 40-50% tread left on them all. Interior is in good overall shape with some stains in carpeting/seats but not all ripped up. Has some typical cracks in dash pad and a sagging headliner also but all in all good shape and very useable/comfortable for everyday use. Better than most 90's out there. Drivers power window does not always work, a/c all there and hooked up but needs freon charged. Body is in solid condition, especially for a 1990!! Looks to have had some very minor repair work done on lower rockers (below doors) and even had new metal on the inner rockers (most folks never repair this area). Also had new metal put in at that typical rust spot on the inner front wheel wells and the 2 inner corners (very minor) of rear gate area.....repaired with metal and done nicely folks. The tailgate, gate hinges and rear floor area are solid and original, quarters are solid and original, good fenders and solid doors (inside and outside and lower edges....solid and original! Jimmy also has solid floors and cab mounts, solid rear inner wheel wells and front "boxes", good solid frame and spring hangers also. It looks like they had taken time to wire brush and rustproof the entire underneath as well.....looks really sharp and clean! Rear bumper has a small ding and drivers outer door skin has 2 little door dings. No rust holes, no dents and no signs of accident damages! Power rear gate window works properly. Paint shows some wear/fading....mostly on roof and hood but still looks good and has a very nice general appearance. Truck starts up and runs strong with no odd noises or smoke noticed. It does have a rough cold idle when it sits for a few days and the service engine soon light is always on, but we had it checked out and are told that the muffler/tailpipe are bad and that is causing the O2 sensor to malfunction when cold......after a minute or two of warming up she idles smooth and revs up strong with no hesitations or roughness at all....rus fantastic! Truck has been sitting in a garage and not used much for the past 3 years, so it should be tuned up and have filters/fluids serviced anyway. Transmission shifts smooth and works properly with no slipping or clunking. Truck has a recently rebuilt rear axle with 3.73 gears and POSI rear. Truck still retains the original factory autolocking hubs and they work/engage properly. Front gear is original 3.42 and should be switched out to a matching 3.73 like the posi rear but 4x4 all works. Truck drives and handles the roads very nicely, rides smooth and has good power!! ******Great driver......DRIVE IT HOME and drive it daily just like it is!! There you go folks, a nice and solid older Jimmy that is good shape overall. She ain't new or perfect but would make a great daily driver for winter or a super nice and easy on to re-do or build up!! Solid old GMC Jimmy 4x4!
