I am selling my 1956 Packard Patrician that I have enjoyed over the last few years but now need the garage space. This car is mostly original with one repaint a few years ago. The two-tone paint job was done professionally and remains beautiful. No rust at all on the underside. Gas tank was removed, sand blasted and cleaned. All new brakes including master cylinder and power assist. Brakes work great with no pull. Power steering works good. Has the torsion bar suspension with automatic leveler. Automatic level control does not work but suspension can be adjusted manually. Rides and drives great; very smooth. The ultramatic shifts well and locks into direct drive just fine, but does leak a little bit out of front seal. Has a 374 cubic inch 290 horsepower V8 as it should. The engine that is in the car was rebuilt several years ago and was installed in this car two years ago, runs beautiful, lots of power. Does smoke a little from one side of the dual exhaust; most likely dried out oil deflectors on intake valves. Interior is in very decent shape for an original interior. All original except for new carpet installed last year. Has four new radial tires with wider white walls from Coker tires (235/75 R15). Chrome is in good original condition with some minor pitting. This car is a very dependable driver that looks gorgeous and always turns heads. This car also comes with a complete gasket set and an complete extra 374 engine that has a cracked block but can be welded, sleeved and rebuilt as these original Packard engines are rare.
