Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT. It is a cobra clone as mustang followers know cobras weren't made until 1993. It is a decent car. Still needs plenty of things done to it, but also has plenty done to it. It has a 5.0 engine, Edelbrock performer rpm upper and lower intake manifold, BBK 70mm throttle body, K&N filter, cold air intake, the heads are aftermarket steel heads. I'm not sure exactly what they are, but they will; not accept ford 5.0 spark plugs. I didn't build the engine so when it comes to internals I can't specify everything, since I didn't put it together. The only parts I can guarantee is what is listed here. It has BBK shorty headers, BBK X crossover pipe, and full exhaust to the rear axle. I cannot say wht, if anything has been done to the lower end. There is also a MSD6-AL box mounted in the car, but it is not wired up. I can't explain that either. The tranny has a short throw shifter. It also has Cobra 4 lug wheels and brand new tires. As for the rest your guess is as good as mine. All in all she runs out pretty good. It has a 3.07 gear in it which kills take off. The interior is what it is. The exterior is ok too. It has a fiberglass cowl hood. It's no show car, but it has plenty of goodies in it. As far as driveability issues, it only has one. Occasionally, usually when you hit a decent pump the ignition cuts out. I've traced it back to the distributor. You can disconnect it and reconnect it and the car fires back up fine. It may not do it again for a week, or it may do it later that day. The car is a clean title car. But I believe at some point it has been wrecked. I don't know if it wasn't reported or if it just didn't total it. I'm trying to include everything I know about the car in the listing. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. The reserve is set low. I have too many projects to tend to. Take a look at the pics. What you see is what you get. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
