1989 Honda CR

Up for sale is my 1989 Honda CR250. This was the first dirt bike I ever owned and I took very good care of it as you can see. The motor has a fresh rebuild and I included a pic of the compression. This bike is VERY strong! Last summer the entire bike was torn down and the frame was sent to powder coat. Every bearing was replaced in the frame, the shock was rebuilt and the wheels had fresh wheel bearings installed. Basically every moving part on the bike was replaced. The tires are Michelin StarCross and have 99% of their tread still on the tire. I hardly ever ride this bike because I have a CR500 that I prefer to ride. The bike runs absolutely perfect and has maybe 6 riding days on the new motor. I do have an extra set of front forks that go with the bike. I do not have any other parts, plastics or anything else. What you see in the listing is what you get. I will even INCLUDE THE STAND! Some additional info about the motor.... It had a new bottom end in 2005 and was put away in my garage only to be ridden LITERALLY a few times. In 2010 I needed to replace the right side engine case due to some corrosion from the coolant and while it was apart I decided to have the top end redone. Since the bottom end was new and hardly ridden it didn't need to be redone a few months ago. I dont have the paperwork for the bottom end since its been so long but I do have everything for the top end and from the engine case replacement a few months ago. Top end rebuild included the piston, rings, sleeve, etc (Because I wanted to keep it at a standard bore) The engine has about 6 days riding on it over the course of the last five years. The plastics are the originals except for the front and rear fender. The side panels were just trimmed short because I like the look better than the number plates covering half the side of the bike. ALL OF THE MOUNTING POINTS ARE IN THEIR ORIGINAL PLACES. Factory plastics will bolt right on and are still available for $109 for a full set.
