Vehicle Detail

Up for sale today is a 1981 Chevy Camaro Z-28. It is a real Z-28 that came with a factory 4bbl, 350 cu engine, and automatic transmission. The real selling points of this car are its excellent paint job, solid engine and transmission as well as numerous performance upgrades. This is the PERFECT project car because it had the toughest item out of the way...THE PAINT JOB! In a few hours most if not all interior eye sores could be repaired. The engine runs great, but like most cars it could use a 400+ HP small block engine put in it! Why pay extra for someone to have a rebuilt engine that you don't know the history on when you can build to your specifications? Exterior: The paint job was completed in 2004 and is the original factory color - it has been garaged since and has had roughly 1250 miles on it since then. The Z-28 stickers haven't been added - they cost $200-$300. The body is VERY straight - it was primed/block sanded four times before painting. The color and metallic flake distribution is very even. The body has some minor blemishes but no dents or major scratches. The largest blemishes are a very small crack over the driverside rear tire and some rock chipping behind the passenger front tire (see pictures). These blemished could have been touched up rather easily, but they just never bothered me. Drivetrain: The engine runs great and has excellent power and smooth acceleration throughout the throttle range. The transmission is a TH-350, it is solid and shifts very smoothly yet firmly. Interior: The interior of this car is tolerable, but not in as good condition as the exterior. It wouldn't take much to have it fixed up perfectly. Carpet is new and in excellent condition. Dash has one crack right in the middle of the top part. Rear seats are in good condition. Front seats are a little rough, but I have seat covers over them. Some of the plastic panels could use replaced. Healinear is new and in excellent condition. Trunk/trunk lid is rust free. Other features: Jetted 750 CFM Edelbrock carburetor with mechanical secondaries and manual choke High flow and excellent condition exhaust - dual Thrush mufflers. New radiator in 2003 Has factory premium chrome trim package New carpet Booming sound system with 350 watt amp and excellent speakers all around Tires are about 80% and have no cracking New windshield in 2005 New window/door seal kit installed in 2005 New door hinge bushings Have painted rear wheel flares History: My brother purchased this car in 1991. When I turned 16 I bought it from my brother. I spent a lot of time and money on its restoration since then!
