Vehicle Detail

For sale I have a 1995 GMC Suburban. 4x4 1500 SLE. Truck is equiped with the highly desireable 6.5L turbo diesel engine. Cloth seats with all power options including power seats, windows and locks. AM/FM cassete and CD, cruise, A/C, rear air, removable 3rd seat, GM factory floor mats, roof rack, reciever tow hitch, and the hard to find rear barn door option. And to answer the questions to follow, the posting is correct. This is in fact a 1500 (1/2ton) with the factory equiped diesel engine. All diesel suburbans came equiped with the 8lug wheels and larger brake systems. This suburban rides much nicer than the larger 2500 models. This is not a very common vehicle, but it is highly desireable due to the advantages of the diesel (higher mpg's and towing capabilities being a few). I was seeing around 18mpg on the highway which for a full size SUV is very good. And with a large fuel tank, the cruising range is quite large. The Interior is in nice shape with only some very small tears or wear marks on the seats. There are a few small missing plastic covers and pieces, but nothing large. There is a large rip in the rear carpet which could be covered with a cargo mat if you wanted. Radio works fine, CD player does not. Heat works well, but the A/C could use a recharge. The fan blower motor was just replaced with a new unit. Front seats are buckets with the center console. There is also an overhead console with provides more storage space and map lights as well. Exterior could use some work or you can just drive as is. Dosent look bad, but there are alot of blemishes. The body is straight except for one dent in the rear passenger door. The paint seems to have the gm defect where it has started peeling off the hood and the tops of the doors. Front left fender has some rust as well as the door bottoms, all comon for trucks of this age. Paint could use a good cleaner and wax. Tires have plenty of life left with no dry-rot. Front windshield is cracked and needs replacement, as well as the back left barn door. TAKE NOTE: The missing/broken door glass is not shown in the pictures as I just broke the window last weekend. I removed the glass and have covered the window. Engine starts and runs excellent. New glow plugs, fuel filter, and fuel pump this year. No cold starting issues. If it gets really cold I will plug the block heater in for a faster start and quicker heat-up time in the cab. There are no overheating issues. Has plenty of power with almost no smoke at all. My commute to work is mostly highway, and the suburban cruises right along just fine. Has a higher gear ratio wich allows for highway speeds without reving the engine too high. The 4 wheel drive works great with only one concern. While in 4x4, there is a clicking when making a sharp turn which I am told is the driver's side CV joint. I believe it is only about a $125 part, but it should be replaced. With the exception of this and a belt whine, the drivetrain is very good. I would not hesitate to take this on a road trip accross the country. The PMD (injection pump driver) has been relocated to the front bumper with a new unit about 7K miles ago. This is a common part failure on these trucks due to high underhood temperatures, and outside the engine bay is the best place to relocate. A quick online seach will yield the facts. Please note that the grey "turbo power" cover pictured on the engine does not come with the sale. Keep in mind this is a truck with 209K miles. Do not expect a showroom like condition vehicle. There are blemishes and things that need fixing. This is an afordable diesel powered suv that could use some work to be a great dependable daily driver, boat hauler, or kid mover. Whichever you prefer. I tried to be honest with any problem that I am aware of and the condition of the vehicle. I do not have alot of feedback so I encourage people who are hesitant to bid to send me any questions you might have, or come and see the vehicle in person. I will gladly talk to you on the phone or via email. I can be contacted at nick@sambridge.com or send me your number and i will return the call. This is being sold AS IS with no warranty. I will not ship this suburban, but i can work with you if you want to send a truck to pick it up. I will require a $500 down payment within 72 hours of auction close either cash, cashiers check, or maybe paypal if I can figure it out. Ask before bidding. The remainder of the payment should be recieved by no more than a week of auction close. This is a NO RESERVE auction, so bid with confidence. High bidder will own this suburban!! Thanks and good luck
