Up for auction is a 1986 BMW K100RS Motorcycle Restoration Project. No Reserve - Highest Bidder WINS... This Bike was running when it went into a storage garage over three years ago, but it hasn't been touched or started up since then. I finally had to give up paying for storage due to the economy, so the Bike must go. I do have the TITLE in hand... Some flaws I noticed and I hope you can see in the pictures are: The seat has a rip; The fiberglass fairings have scratches, surface damage, and missing hardware; The right side mirror falls off from it's mounting; The clear windshield needs cleaning; The brake reservoir is broken; AND it hasn't run in a long time. Please look carefully at the pictures. If you see something wrong in the pictures, please let me know and I will update the auction. The Bike is currently located near Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) Philadelphia, Pa. in Lester, Pa. 19029, just off of I-95 and Route 476, and will need to be hauled on a trailer or truck from there. Also, I will assist if someone wants to ship this OVERSEAS. I just sold a Triumph to Australia... On Oct-09-10 at 11:34:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional information added on Saturday Oct. 9th, 2010: Hi, I had a friend come over with a charged battery and the bike started up and ran after we replaced the gas and checked the other fluids. We let it run for about a minute or so, but the bike smoked a little and had oil residue in it. My friend, a bike mechanic, believes that maybe a valve is hung up. I didn't hear and knocking or banging in the engine. Also, I was so excited that I forgot to check the lights. well, have a great weekend.
