Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1998 Suzuki GSXR750 track/race bike I purchased in 2000 from a club racer while I lived in California. The bike is listed as parts/rebuildable as it was in an accident at NJ Motorsports Park in south Jersey in August of 2009 and has been in storage since. Please read all info carefully. I will do my best to list all mods and extras as well s all damage. The motorcycle has a clean California Title listing 10,600 miles on the odometer. How much actual mileage is unknown. The engine was replaced a few years ago with a 99 motor that was purchased on ebay. The engine was apparently from a salvage yard but it is unknown the milage of the engine. It was, to the best of my judgement an unmodified engine suspected of lower milage as the all original equipment was intact including the original Suzuki "PAIR" clean air system indicative of a stock exhaust. Moreover, the valve covers was pulled and the oil was clean, spark plugs perfect and cam lobes looked perfect. Since the engine swap, I have put on only 4-5 track days and two of them where only morning sessions (obviously the last one ended early) The bikes mods include the following:-Scott's Steering Damper-Lindemann Engineering rebuilt front suspension (sprung for approx. 225lb rider)-Fox Twin Clicker rear shock (sprung for approx. 225lb rider)-Digi Gear shift indicator (cracked face during Highside - see below)-Digi Rev Light- PC I (original power commander) fuel injection mapping system-Ivan's Performance TRE (Timing Retarder Eliminator)-APE Manufacturing Manual Cam Chain Adjuster-Swing arm spools-K&N Filter-CFM Woodcraft style Rearsets (not CFM but compatible with CFM)-Lockhart Phillips rear ride height adjuster (5mm lift in rear ride height I believe)-Yashimura full race exhaust - header good, canister pretty bad, mid-pipe I'm unsure of As mentioned earlier, the bike was highsided at NJMP over a year ago and has been in storage since.Damage includes but is not limited to the following:-Rear Rim bent in two locations-front rim has a small flat spot on the lip but am unaware if it is salvageable/useable-both clip-ons are slightly bent and most associated electronics and hydraulics are damaged in one form or another-Fairing is toast except to some one with fiberglass skills (have some extras in stock)-front fairing stay totaled-ignition is bent and locked up (wiring harness cut just below ignition with the intent of getting it running again but never got to it - bike ran strong prior to accident)- sprockets are at the end of their life but have spares-Fuel Tank crushed in but not leaking- Sub frame done for- Slight dent in frame at left side near where clip-on comes toward frame in left turn…. dent existed prior to accident. . bike was taken to GMD computrack in Connecticut and measured for straightness and set-up (prior to accident but with small frame dent) and was cleared as set-up perfect… Bike would be prefect for parts, rebuildable track bike, stunt bike or even a rebuildable streetfighter…. bike ran strong prior to accident and handled great. I also have a few extras including a CD of Suzuki Parts Dept Micro Fiche, Suzuki official shop manual ($70 new), some fairing and others parts, spares and access. …..
