NO RESERVE!!! I am relisting this car WITH NO RESERVE since after being bid up to $1,525.00 after 29 bids the car did not sell because it was $25 below my Reserve Price! (I even attempted to lower the Reserve but I guess it was too late). Now the car will simply go to the highest bidder no matter what. The starting bid is set at $1,500.00 since it is still below that of the previous highest bid. DISCLAIMER * Please read the entirety of this listing before placing your bid. I cannot be held responsible for the ignorance of someone who does not take the time to at least read the Pros & Cons lists below. My objectives are 1) to find a good home for my baby since I've invested so much time, energy and money into her, 2) continue to build my 100% positive eBay feedback and 3) get some money back for what I've put into this car---in that order. * I have listed to the best of my knowledge/ability everything of importance that I know about this vehicle. However, it is entirely possible there are things about the vehicle I have not listed that I am not aware of. I am happy to try and answer any and all questions, so feel free to send me an e-mail with your questions (I'd be happy to provide my phone number at that point if it's easier). * I've been informed by the shop where I've had all the work listed below done at that the vehicle needs a new oil pump and should not be driven any distance until then, but that it starts up fine and the engine sounds good (see details below). However, since at the time I did not have the money to have the oil pump replaced, the car has been sitting for several months and I have not started it myself or tried to drive it since the tabs are expired. * All that being said, the fair market value of this car is still around $3,500.00 with everything that's been put into this car (just the exhaust, brand new turbocharger and manual boost controller are worth that much alone), so even the "Buy It Now" price of $2,600.00 is a deal. I've removed the Reserve because I need the car moved ASAP and am ready to aggressively sell this car. On the other hand, I'd rather just donate it to a good cause than let it go for any less than the starting bid of $1,500.00. This is a first generation (1G) 1990 white Eagle Talon TSi AWD, 5-speed manual, turbocharged, all wheel drive car with a 6-bolt motor. This is a fast mechanically-modified car, with a stock body and interior (except for the aftermarket stereo---see below). List of Modifications: Full 3-inch Turbo-Back exhaust with a straight pipe, small 18G turbocharger, Hallman Pro Manual Boost Controller, Limited Slip Differential (LSD) rear end, K&N air filter, ACT MB1 XTSS Stage 2 Racing Clutch with Extreme Pressure Plate with Street Disc, Fidanza Short Throw Shifter, Boston Acoustics 767 aftermarket speakers and Pioneer CD/MP3 Player stereo with rotating, removable faceplate and remote. I have also put over $8,000 of repairs and maintenance into this car and the receipts to prove it!!! Please see detailed list below of work done and the mileage it was done at. Unfortunately for me, after paying to have all that work done, earlier in the year during a really cold period up in the mountains when it got well bellow zero I was driving back to Seattle and the oil pump ruptured. I pulled off the highway immediately and had it towed. Once we had the car up on the lift and replaced the oil, the car ran fine (apart from oil leaking everywhere with no oil pump obviously). I have not started the car since then and it has been sitting for several months (it needs a jump start but the battery should still be good). Please see Pros and Cons below for more details and work done on this vehicle. I have ALL the receipts for the repairs done on this vehicle! My original intention was to have my mechanic, who specializes in Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX AWD and Plymouth Laser RS Turbo AWD engines, just do a quick clean of the engine to be safe and then fix the cosmetic issues of the car by getting used parts from a self-service wrecking yard. From there I was planning on doing the rest of the mods of my dreams to make this car into an even faster Super Sleeper! However, as with so many DSMs, I really don’t have the time for this and now that I’m living in an apartment complex, I no longer have a garage to work on this vehicle and the landlord doesn’t allow tenants to work on their cars in the parking lot and is demanding that I move the vehicle. I’ve included several images of the car, but if you want more just let me know and I’ll send them to your e-mail. I’d also be happy to show the car to local buyers if they're serious. The best way to contact me is through the eBay Seller Info links above. I’d be more than happy to answer any of your questions but please make sure to at least skim through the lists of Pros and Cons below so we don’t waste each other’s time. I’d also be happy to set up a time to talk on the phone. DSM POWER!!! 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD: 196,656 miles on chassis Pros - Full 3-inch Turbo-Back exhaust with a straight pipe directly from the turbo all the way out the exhaust. - Small 18G turbocharger. - Hallman Pro Manual Boost Controller. - Limited Slip Differential (LSD) rear end. - K&N air filter - Pioneer aftermarket CD/MP3 Player stereo with rotating, removable faceplate and remote. - Boston Acoustics 767 aftermarket rear speakers. - Regular oil and filter changes. - the interior is in good shape; I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10, but I’m picky. The seats are clean with no rips, the mats and floor are clean and I’ve never allowed food or drink in the car. - The paint is in really great shape. Mileage: - Engine head rebuilt Mileage: 163,195 - Remove and replace driver side front axle assembly Mileage: 164, 579 - Remove and replace front brake pads - Remove and replace front rotors and cleaned calipers Mileage: 165,015 - Installed ACT MB1-XTSS Stage 2 Racing Clutch with Extreme Pressure Plate with Street Disc - Remove and replace clutch release fork - Resurfaced flywheel - Remove and replace passenger side front axle assembly Mileage: 165,186 - Installed Fidanza Short Throw Shifter Mileage: 168,414 - Remove and replace radiator Mileage: 170,767 - Remove and replace rear brake pads - Remove and replace rear rotors Mileage: 172,709 - Remove and replace O2 sensor and water by pass hose Mileage: 183, 576 - Remove and replace timing belt, water pump, balance shaft belt, tensioners - Remove and replace Small 18G turbocharger (brand new TD05 Small 18G turbo) - Remove and replace front passenger wheel bearing Mileage: 189, 567 - Remanufactured Bosch Alternator 65 AMP - Remanufactured Power Steering Pump Cons - As I mentioned above, the oil pump ruptured due to extremely cold temperatures. I pulled off the highway immediately and had the car towed. Once we had the car up on the lift and replaced the oil, the car ran fine (apart from oil leaking everywhere with no oil pump obviously). I have not started the car since then and it has been sitting for several months (it needs a jump start but the battery should still be good) - The tabs expired earlier this year, but if you'll be taking the vehicle out of the state of Washington, you'd need to re-register it anyway. - The driver side rear wheel currently has the spare on because the tire was flat; wheel and flat tire are in the trunk. All tires will need replacing soon. - Like on all Talons that are modded, the air conditioning was removed to reduce weight and create more space in the engine bay for the aftermarket parts. - On that same cold day when the oil pump ruptured, one of the two driver side door handle hinges snapped. It’s now necessary to release the door latch from the inside. The key mechanism to lock the driver side door (and therefore automatically the passenger side as well) still works. The Pull-A-Part self-service wrecking yards in Lynnwood and Tacoma both have white DSMs with driver side door handles for $3.50. - Passenger side door handle is damaged making it impossible to unlock or lock the passenger door from the outside with a key (door handle still works to actually open the door from the outside) from when someone tried to break into the vehicle with a screwdriver. Again, this is a $3.50 part that is available at 2 locations. I’ve just never had a need to fix it. - Passenger side front popup headlamp arm is detached that is supposed to be connected to the motor that lifts it up (the arm should be able to just be reattached). - Hood latch at the front of the car is bent and does not release the hood completely when depressed so the hood needs to be pulled upwards to free it from the latch to get it open. $1.50 at Pull-A-Part at 2 locations. - Front of hood is bent so care must be taken that it doesn’t catch on the passenger side front popup headlamp when it is lifted. A white hood is available at 2 locations at Pull-A-Part for $26.50. - Cloth of roof (headliner) sags slightly and could be replaced, plastic around automatic seatbelt behind Passenger side seat is cracked, and some plastic clips are missing from the rear interior plastic panels. - Passenger side front fender above wheel bent and rusted right above side turn signal (total damage only covers about 2” in diameter). A white fender is available at 2 locations at Pull-A-Part for $21.50. I’ve just never had a need to fix it. - Passenger side front bumper is cracked near the bottom and scraped so that the yellow primer is showing through. A white front bumper is available at 2 locations at Pull-A-Part for $36.50. I look forward to a smooth transaction, positive eBay experience, and a content Buyer! Good luck to all!
