2004 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible I am offering for sale this very nice 2004 Beetle Convertible. This is a one owner car. It was bought new by a single lady and has been her primary transportation its entire life. It has been dealer maintained including oil changes and any warranty work it needed. She has purchased a new car and no longer needs the Beetle. As you view the pictures you can see the Beetle is in average to very good condition. It has a small dent in the passenger door that is hardly visible in the picture. The right rear fender has a small battle scar as does the right rear wheel. This happened at the same time. The wheel is fine although there is the cosmetic damage which can be seen in the picture. The fender is not bent but there is a chip in the paint which also can be seen in the picture. The top is in very good condition showing normal wear. The interior is excellant. The A/C is cold. Other than the mentioned items, the paint is in very good condition. The tires are good showing about 30% wear. The left rear window regulator is bad. This is a common issue with these cars. If you should put the window down you have to pull it up by hand to the closed position. The transmission will from time to time shift hard in 3rd gear. I have driven the car and find this to be somewhat occasional. It does it mostly when there is a lot of stop and go driving. I have had the transmission checked by a local certified transmission shop and it is their opinion it could go for a long time before needing service. All in all this is a very nice Beetle Convertible. The NADA clean retail on this car is in the $9000.00 range. Someone will be getting a deal. The very low starting price is the reserve so someone will win this auction. Look at the pictures closely and bid confidently. I ask for a $1000.00 non-refundable deposit within 5 days and the balance in cash when the car is picked up. If the car cannot be picked up within 2 weeks I will need the full payment to hold it unless we make some agreed upon arrangements. I DO NOT accept pay pal. Please don't waste my time or yours.
