Vehicle Detail

This is a 1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow that had a Chevy 350 engine conversion done some years ago. That was done by a previous owner so I don't know when, just that it was done in Florida. The body has just over 70,000 miles. I do not know how many miles are on the engine. It has been driven as my daily driver for the summer. The car had been sitting in a garage down in Cape Cod unused for some time. My mechanic worked on the car for a couple of months and got it road worthy. The brakes have been repaired and the alternator and starter replaced. The engine now has a broken intake valve. The mechanic that looked it over has told me the engine does not need to be replaced or rebuilt, just needs the head done. He said the engine itself is very clean and in great shape. It being a Chevy makes it easy and cheap to do. It has a four barrel carburetor on it. It does run rough at idle. It does not smoke or leak fluids. The AC, cruise control, door locks and the washer pump are not working. I keep the car in a dry garage and drive it a short time each year. The body is good and straight, but the paint is bad. There are chips, scratches and flaking in areas. There is some rust showing through the paint where it went bad. There is a scrape/dent on the right rear quarter. The seal around the windshield is leaking. That had caused water to get into the carpet on the passenger side. This had happened before I bought it. I had to cut out the bad carpet and dry the floor. There is rust there and a dime size hole formed which I plugged with some filler. That is the only place it is rusted through. The interior is all there other than the carpet I had cut. Some of the leather is worn, but not ripped or torn. The wood is all there, but the clear finish is peeling. The car needs restoration. Please contact me with any questions or to arrange to see it. I will take a small economy car and/or large 4 wheel drive truck or SUV (full size Bronco would be great) as a partial trade to knock the price down.
