Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice 1972 Volkswagen Type II transporter in very daily drivable condition. The body is in overall very nice condition with some minor bumps and dents but no sign of any major damage or reapirs. The original dove blue paint still looks very nice. There is some very minor rust at the bottom right of the windshield and in the battery tray but overall this bus is extremely solid. The original old Bosch advertising is painted on but fading in spots. it comes with a nice vintage roof rack. Mechanically this bus is excellent. It has a type IV (pancake) engine with dual Kadron carburetors and fires up easy and runs and drives excellent. It doesn't smoke or leak excessively and has lots of power and can cruise all day at freeway speeds. It shifts nice and smooth the clutch and gearbox work perfect. The tires have lots of tread left, the brakes are fairly new, the steering and suspension are tight. Electrics are good (i think maybe the horn doesn't work). It has a decent am/fm cd player but needs better speakers. The windshield has a crack on the passenger side. The interior is pretty clean with nice tan door panels, seats have covers over them and are a bit rough underneath. Dashboard is nice and clean. In the back it has a folding Z bed bench seat (folds into a bed). that looks and works great and makes a very comfortable bed when needed. This bus is nice and clean, has a clear title and is ready to drive home. can be viewed by appointment in Granite Falls WA (near Seattle). Buyer to arrange shipping if needed, i will assist as needed.
