Sadly for sale our 1966 Volkswagen Bus 13 Window Deluxe Bus. Time to move on to pay for kids schools, etc... we bought this bus two years ago from Colome Motors in California. Drew Colome is an expert in this field. We received the bus and fixed it up even more... primarily strengthening the floorboards and adjusting the points. It has been garage kept and has been in excellent running condition in our two years of ownership. As Drew said " This is an excellent example of a survivor bus. It is still wearing it's original paint inside and out, has all three original seats. correct blue floormats which only came in the SeaBlue buses, all the deluxe trim, and runs and drives beautifully. It features just the perfect amount of patina on the paint and the best part of all you know the history of the bus at a glance as original paint shows the true condition of the bus, no hidden surprises. The features on this bus include extremely dry southwestern body, fully polished original deluxe trim and jailbars, correct bumpers with trim, all three original seats, completely refreshed mechanicals including engine, transmission, brakes, and tires, correctly repainted wheels and bumpers, new chrome hub caps with painted logos, six pop out window, and a 12 volt conversion just to name a few. The body is in great original shape, straight, dry, and original paint throughout. You always hope to find them this nice, but so rarely do. All the deluxe trim is present and fully polished including the rockers, spears, and the bumper trim which are so frequently overlooked these days. All the window rubber and felt slider channels are new as well. Extremely solid Bus. The interior is complete, all three original seats with the front having a brand new salt and pepper cover and the middle and rear are still in their original upholstery. The salt and pepper panels are brand new as is the pinpoint vinyl headliner. It looks as great inside as it does outside. The dash is still in the original paint, features a sapphire I radio and accessory cigarette lighter as well (*new owner note..radio and lighter do not work, but are there) Many of the often incorrect details are correct on this bus such as the correct chrome deluxe door handles and escutcheons. This is the kind of detail that is often sacrificed on a bus that has been beaten up over the years and then repainted, freshened up, and offered for sale. Mechanically the bus has been completely gone through and has a fresh 1600cc engine that runs excellent. The transmission has also been freshened up and shifts nicely. The electrical system has been upgraded to 12v. The brakes are fresh and work great and the tires are new white strip radials with excellent tread. This one is ready to enjoy"
