This bike has been slightly modified. The bike was torn down to the bare frame three years ago, completely gone through, repainted, and reupholstered. At that time the odometer read 54k miles. The factory colors were not strictly adhered to when re-painting, but the desire was not to stray too far from the original factory design. The paint is House of Color with an Imron clear coat over it to protect it. The paint is not perfect, but very nice. The engine runs extremely well. It was removed from the bike in 2007, completely gone through, with new rings, gaskets, clutch and a valve job. It has a Wiseco 1123cc kit installed with forged pistons. All bearing clearances were checked and the camshaft was degreed in. The bike has new brake pads installed and a complete master cylinder overhaul front and rear. The forks have new seals and bushings installed. The battery is a new gel cell which went dead from sitting. After having a stroke in 2007, I decided that this bike was WAY too fast for me. So the bike sat for two and a half years until now. It starts and runs beautifully and will scare the shorts off of you. The carbs have been jetted and needles raised to match the increase in cc's. Tires will need replacement soon, but are fine for now. This bike does not have the traditional 1100F shimmy so common with these models. This bike is in excellent mechanical condition except for the battery as noted above. It may be purchased with either check or money order, either of which must clear before any shipping of the bike takes place. This bike had the registration suspended by the DMV three years ago and will cost California buyers $500 to register the bike. Non California buyers will get a pink slip and bill of sale. NO EXTRA COSTS INVOLVED. The California DMV loves to stick it to anybody they can to make money. Bike is sold in “as is” condition. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.
