I have a 1996 Lexus ES300 Coach Edition that was in great condition but, unfortunately, it was totaled just a few days ago (my daughter's flip flop got caught on the brake pedal.) This car has an engine that was rebuilt in May of 2010. The original engine has 225k miles on it. I do not know the extent of the damage done to the engine from this accident. It also has a new battery and tires (as of May which cost me $400). I have put quit a bit of money into this car and do not want to scrap it as metal for there are still some good parts that someone might be able to use. There is no rust on this car and it has never been in a previous accident. I am selling this car as a whole car and it will have to be towed from Springfield, Ohio.
