A 1999 Audi A4 Avant 1.8T Quattro in cactus pearl mica with gray interior. 162k mi., but runs and drives much younger. The following things have been done since in my posession (18 months) : New custom exhaust, straight pipe back from cat with one muffler, nice sound. Oil change (Pentosynth 5W30) and filter last week, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs (NGK PFR6Q), coolant flush (Pentosin G12, the pink stuff), fresh hydraulic oil (power steering, the mineral based green stuff), brake flush and fill (Castrol GTX), new front and rear pads and rotors, front and rear calipers, new tie rod ends and upper control arms,(alignment required after this service), new rear drive axle mount, carrier bearing and transmission mount, new turbo diverter valve (Bosch 710N), new drive belts and belt tensioner, rear wiper motor and washer, new Silverstar halogen bulbs (Lo and Hi beams, fogs), stage 2 Rocketchip (done by Jeff himself. approx 200hp, 246 lb/ft torque) www.rocketchip.com Other interesting features: Neuspeed springs. The car is tastefully lowered and came std with the sport suspension pkg which included the 3-spoke steering wheel. Rare sun roof delete. Original Audi radio, Bose speakers with 6 CD changer in the back. Pirelli P6 225/55/16 with plenty of tread left on stock 5 spoke wheels without curbage. Non Smoker, ash tray never used. great A/C, blows cold. Cargo cover still with car. Owners manual, radio manual, switchblade style key and valet key. All recent records. Donut spare (hardly used), jack, tool kit, emergency triangle, first aid kit. Smoked head and tail light lenses. The not so good: Paint bubbling on the rear hatch lid. Water has leaked into the paint from the window seal. This is the result of the accident reported in the vehicle history. Whoever did the body work didn't seal the window correctly when replacing it. An estimate from my local body guys is $560 for paint and repair. The drivers seat has the usual rip and tear, common to all A4s I understand. The seat cover will come with. The cruise control has never worked for me, another common failure. The driver side window is squirrely, but I have a trick that works ev'ry time to get it to raise. There is a fault code stored in the ECU which I have erased, 0445, evap leak. This is an emissions issue which I've determined is an unnecessary repair. There is a pump that recirculates gas fumes back into the engine for burning. It has failed and is rather expensive to replace. Unless you're a serious environmentalist you can get away with this, unless of course you live in Cali or another smog check state. The German plate and frame are not included, nor are my ex-R32 mats. Thanx for looking and considering this pretty nice example of the rare and desireable B5 series Avant.
