Up for auction is this 2001 Suzuki Savage. I bought it about 3 years ago and have really enjoyed it. I have ridden it over 14,000 miles. Recently my wife and I purchased a larger bike for we like to take fairly long rides - several hundred miles. The Savage has 21, 309 miles. I purchased new tires for it and had the front brake pads replaced around 1500 miles ago. These cost around $328. The flaws I have tried to show in the pictures. The gas tank paint (it was like that when I purchased it) and the spots on the passenger seat and backrest that show need of uphosltery. The battery cover is in the pictures but it would need a new lock to lock on the bike. I lost one of the tumblers in the lock. Also, the motor oozes a little oil aound the head gasket. Never enough to cause problems but it does do it. A local motorcycle shop priced the repair at between 3 and 400 dollars. Consequently, I have placed the buy it now price more than that below the Kelly Blue Book retail resale value. The windshield I paid $60 for, the luggage rack was around $90 and the drivers backrest $135. My wife made it a little thicker for me as I am fairly short but that could easily be removed if you desire. In addition you will notice the bike has saddlebags and the foot controls are mounted on extensions which make it much more comfortable to ride. We have really enjoyed this bike having ridden it to Niagara Falls, Canada and Oxford, MS as well as many other shorter trips of a few hundred roundtrip miles.
