Vehicle Detail
Restored Classic BMW R90S. Runs great and Black and Silver paint job shines- a real standout. Previous owner took great care in using only original parts when restoring. Reason for Selling: I purchased the R90S 5 years ago, and have put a total of 301 miles on it. I am the third owner, and have four other motorcycles. I had my R90S inspected by Dixie Mobile Mechanic before putting it up for sale. Below are the results. This R90S is a very quality vintage good running bike. It is very clean and well kept. It has a very smooth and enjoyable ride. It’s been a pleasure to work on, has currently had a tune up, oil change, carb cleaning, new battery and is in great mechanical shape. Feel free to contact us at dixiesmobilemechanic@hotmail.com or www.dixiesmobilemechanic.webs.com for a reference or to discuss the mechanical aspects of the motorcycle. Below is the work done on the R90S by previous owner (it has sat in my dry garage, except for my riding it 301 miles, since I purchased it). Previous owner installed a new fairing and windshield. "This was painted by BMW in Germany and shipped , so it is correct and expensive. The windshield is BMW also. I replaced the exhaust pipes also, non BMW. The mufflers are stainless steel by the oem manufacturer, they were on the bike when I purchased it. I had the frame powder coated. The wheel, swingarm, triple tree bearings were replaced, along with new seals. The front brake rotors and pads were replaced. The front fork seals were replaced, along with gaiters. The front brake master cylinder was replaced. The alumimun rims were polished, along with new tubes and Metzler tires, about 4k miles on tires. The engine rear main seal was replaced, along with the transmission input seal and shift lever seal. The push rod seals have been replaced, cylinders bored .5 millimeter oversize, with new rings, BMW of course.
