Vehicle Detail
1979 Ford F-250 4x4 Crewcab. This crew has undergone extensive work. There were 2 spots of rust on this truck when I bought it, one was the front driver door and the other was the rear driver door. The rear driver door had new panels welded inside and out and both of the front doors were replaced with factory NOS Ford doors. The front fenders were also replaced with factory NOS Ford fenders. The drip rails had NO rust at all on them and were in great shape. The grille shell is also an NOS Ford item. The body was taken to bare metal before paint. The floorboards were in great shape with NO rust. The dual tank box had some dents in it but there was absolutely NO rust on it. The tailgate was replaced with what could of been an NOS gate. It is in perfect condition. The inside of the bed has been done with color matched Al's Liner and has a 5th wheel hitch. The bed rails are original Ford pieces and were an option for this truck. Originally this crew was a brown Custom model. It now has the correct options for the Ranger XLT model and has been completely repainted gray metallic. The 400 engine and 4 speed trans are in perfect working order. It will need to have some gaskets changed, could be the oil pan gasket, rear main or a timing cover seal. I have not checked it out to see exactly where it is coming from. Inside the interior has been painted the same gray as the outside. I added the factory A/C system and all that is needed to complete is a compressor. The headliner is one piece made out of black leather. Also added is a center dome light. The black dash pad is NOS Ford. The seats will need to be recovered in either gray or black, they are still brown. Notice the back window, it is the rare factory De-Ice option. It is missing one relay and I am trying to locate that piece currently. New gray carpet was added as well. I also fabricated a 4 speed tilt column from an automatic column. Only someone that knows these trucks like the back of their hand would be able to tell the difference. If the winning bidder would like me to finish the truck something can be worked out to make that happen. Send me an email to discuss this option. What needs to be done to complete this crew? I have rear bumper brackets from a Bronco. They need to be modified (lengthened) to fit the crews frame. I do not have a rear bumper for it. The seats need to be reupholstered. The rear door panels need to be mounted, just need to get the clips. It will need a new set of tires as one or two of these are worn out of round. The rims will work but the factory clear is peeling and they look bad. Tighten the bed bolts down. Hood needs final alignment still. Door sill paltes for the front door. Other than that the truck can be daily driven if you so desire. For more pictures of the build follow the links below. There are countless pictures showing the amount of time and work I've put into this crew. I'm sure there is plenty that I have forgot to mention with this build. I updated the below links as I did this build so there is a ton of pictures and mod work there that can be viewed. http://7879blueovalbronco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=473 http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=143037 Direct link for build pictures only: https://www.supermotors.net/registry/20154/68624 Be sure to check my other auctions. I'm cleaning shop and selling off some of my toys to make room for a new one. If you have a 0 feedback rating YOU MUST FIRST EMAIL ME or your bid will be canceled. If you need your girlfriend or wifes permission to buy this please ask her first before you bid. Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at my choice if it sells locally.
