This is a 1989 Maserati TC by Chrysler. 4 cyl 16 Valve Maserati engine and 5 speed manual trans. It is a rare car built in Italy in partnership between Chrysler & Maserati. Only 3764 made in 1989, and this is one of 500 cars which were built with an alternate drivetrain consisting of a Getrag manual 5 speed transmission and a 16-valve Cosworth head version of the 2.2 L. This engine is often called the "Maserati" engine as it has Maserati on the valve cover. This engine produced 200 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque and the 500 total includes 1989 and 1990 model years. The 2.2 "Maserati" engine's cylinder head was cast in England by Cosworth and finished in Italy by Maserati. The pistons came from Mahle GmbH in Germany, and a Japanese turbocharger was sourced from IHI. The camshafts were designed by Florida-based Crane Cams but were constructed by Maserati in Modena. (This car model was only made from 1989 - 1991 with only 7300 units ever made). This Yellow car is loaded with Ginger Italian leather bucket seats (extremely comfortable ), Italian leather dash and Interior, power antenna, dual heat, A/C, antilock system, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, power windows, 8 way adjustable seats, & manual cloth soft Black convertible top! The fiberglass roof is a removable hard top with opera windows & rear window defrost. The TC has its dash and door panels covered in hand-stitched Leather---The inside door jambs are finished with stainless steel panels---The seats and armrests are finished in ITALIAN Leather (much thicker than used in US-made Vehicles) The convertible boot is a metal panel that the hardtop rests on (covering the convertible top). Radio has ultimate sound & speaker system. It is a Hemmings Motor News Sleeper Classic Investment!!!! It is in nice condition! Awesome 2 seater luxury car!!! Gets 18 city & 22 Hwy. It has 121K miles. The base price was $35,500. Check value guides and other internet sites to see values. The 5 speed 16 valve is the one to get! I bought this car from the original owner this summer and never got to enjoy it due to health reasons. This is a car you can drive around and still get your money back. I have a lot of money invested in this car but I am selling with no reserve as I have to sell my cars. Just spent $800 on new fuel pump, battery, brake work, etc. Car was checked on a lift and has no rust-especially checked around the emergency brake cable, a common rust area. This one is solid. Has owner plaque #250. The dye on the interior seats is worn, but the seats are not ripped up (the armrest is bad, though)The car comes with a 1989 yellow with ginger interior parts car. it is the regular 4 cyl turbo engine with an auto trans. passenger window is broken and it turns over but does not run-haven't been able to look to find out why. rear aluminum bumper removed, but comes with car. Interior isn't bad at all. You can strip it here if you want. No title on the parts car as I would have had to pay sales tax (6%) of NADA value. Can sell with a Mass.
