1974 VW Thing ***THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION*** This beautiful VW Thing will be sold to the highest bidder! This VW Thing is in great condition and clean throughout! This VW Thing has a 1.6 liter air cooled, carbureted engine. The engine runs great and was just recently rebuilt to exacting specifications, completed oil change and it performs as it should. The odometer is 67994 miles approximate original miles! The odometer has been replaced with one that has a working gas gauge and now reads 47979 which is not accurate. It has a 4 speed manual transmission that shifts as it should and has no apparent issues. It even has its rare factory VW stamped Thing exhaust that comes through the rear bumper; it is in very nice and original condition. It also has its original Thing skid plates which are not pictured in listing! This VW thing was recently painted inside and out giving this thing a very Acapulco style! The seats were new a few years Ago and in excellent condition. The hard top is in excellent condition and an interior light has been added for additional luxury! As you can see in the pictures there floors have been carpeted for interior noise dampening which could be removed. The windshield folds down and the door's are easily removed for whatever safari you wish to go on! The rear seats fold down to make room for hauling all your gear and then some! There are seat belts for two in rear. This is a very solid VW Thing and it runs very well. All the lights work and it shouldn’t need anything. If you are looking for a very clean, original, reliable and fun VW Thing For the whole family to enjoy than this is the VW Thing for you. This Thing is very nice and in better than average condition for the age of the vehicle. Please remember that this is a 36 year old vehicle and you cannot expect it to be perfect. It might need little things fixed or repaired here and there from time to time. Also please keep in mind that this is an older vehicle and it is not new, it was used and driven daily. As with any and all used vehicles you can expect minor imperfections and normal wear and tear such as dirt, chips, dings, scratches, fading, ECT. Look at all the pictures judge for yourself!
