1972 BUICK RIVIERA BOATTAIL GS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Up for auction is a very nice & distinctive 1972 Buick Riviera Boattail Hardtop Coupe GS! This Gran Sport (GS) is equipped with the original matching number 330 horsepower 455 cubic V-8 engine linked to a specially calibrated Turbohydramatic 400 transmission; heavy duty suspension; positive traction differential and Riviera GS monogram on front fenders. 105,271 original miles. The beautiful chocolate brown paint is in really good condition. I was told by the previous owner that it had one repaint in its lifetime. There is a small dent on the rear passenger panel/side and corner above the taillight (see photos). The interior has never been redone; it is still all original! The front (and rear) dash is perfect; no cracks or any type of damage. The air conditioning blows cold! It also has cruise control, power windows, power locks, power seats, remote trunk release, tilt steering, AM/FM/cassette stereo, remote controlled driver’s side rearview mirror, day/night rearview mirror, rear window defogger, cornering lamps, trip set and speed alert. Everything works! The chrome wheels and tires are in good condition. I will also include a set of original Buick wheels. Clear title in hand along with the original owners manuals for the car and stereo. No fluid or oil leaks. (The liquid sitting under the car is water from when we rinsed the car off before taking the pictures.) This car runs and drives great…soo smooth! We just drove this car on a 300 mile mini-cruise and had no problems at all...Just lots of thumbs up from others! The vin # is 4Y87W2H914126. According to GM, vin # shows: 4=Buick, Y=Riviera, 87=Coupe-2-Door-Hardtop, W=455 Engine Code, 2=Year Designation (1972), H=Plant Manuf=Flint Mich., and 914126=Serial Number.
